Smok Xcube Ultra not reaching 420f

Hey all my lovely vaping freinds (a stranger's just a friend you haven't met!)

Running clapton coils on TC mode, and set everything I think as steam engine said (TCR at about 0.00093, though have tried it down a bit and up to 0.00100), but with it set at 410 or 420f it only reaches maybe 250to 300f - is this normal?. The coils are 26g SS316L inner with 38g SS304 outer, 4 wraps ish and coming in at 0.19 in a dual build. It's set to 65 in watt mode.

Pretty new to TC so any help would be nice, just wondering if anythign more I can do to get the temp I think it's meant to hit, though I may be wrong.

I guess, the wattage setting in TC mode is to low to achieve the required temperature. Just increase it.

Well I set the wattage to 65, but it only shows 53ish when vaping. It's my own juice so not actually sure how it's meant to taste best hahahaha But well, it's not bad I think, citrus with a touch of koolada. Am very new to blending lol will put watts up higher and see...thanks

65 Watts is pretty much too low for Your requirement. Try more! I vape at 260 degrees Celsius (500 in Fahrenheit) and my wattage is set to 140 watts.

250-300 degrees Fahrenheit...ca. 120-150. degrees Celsius...does not really vape.

TCR Preset or Adjustment: This screen allows you to continue with the preset from the factory or adjust it if the wire type is not configured into the memory, for example you are using a SS304 rather than a SS316 coil.

Maybe you have to configure it for that wire type?

There is not a big difference between 304 and 316...it is around/circa 100 (0.00100).

Too less power...no temperature.

Well, it's a difference when the device is not set up for it at the factory.

Thanks again, the TCR doesn;t seem to make a difference as mentioned, tried the 316L and 304 settings, will increase wattage setting and try. I guess with the Ultra whatever Watt Mode setting will be used in TC

Cannot seem to find a way to set wattage in TC mode, and whatever wattage is set in Watt Mode does not carry over to TC - I can put it down to 15W and then in TC it still uses 53W or so to reach only 300f. Maybe it's something to do with the actual coil, it was my first attempt at making a clapton lol Will try another one and see

Yeah, tried that and god massive harsh hit lol. I think it was my coil, was tasting off even when using watt mode. Took it out and it appeared to have black spots in areas on the 304 38g...so presume I didn;t wrap the coil right. Defo need more practice.

Put in a normal dual Coil of 317L 25g, .15ohm and the TC seems fine..thanks for all suggestions, learning loads as it goes on
