Delivered today! Just $108 and 7 days from order to my door from MTMStore in Croatia! I did have to sign for it, so maybe I wasn't here yesterday and they keyed in the wrong code. I look forward to cleaning-building & vaping it soon!

I've been impressed with the CS from this Vendor- they ship the same day and FAST, even with the less costly air mail option. They also offer next day express if you gotta have it now and don't mind spending an extra $20.

[If you decide to use this vendor, be sure to register an account and contact them, requesting to be placed in the Non-VAT group to avoid the tax.]

Call me old fashioned but SM should have offered the M2L kit free maybe asking for with postage costs...GP issue upgraded bits free, why not SM, partiularly in this scenario...traded mine anyway..Same scenario with the Squape X-dream..now you need a new deck ($20 or so) to make it do what any previous Squape owner could have reasonably expected it to do out of the box...traded that too..

Thought SVM said it would be inexpensive. 9.95 isnt all that inexpensive, even if that was in dollars.

Yer agreed imo it should really be free with the Atty because its not really an optional extra its more of a requirement if you want to get SM stated MTL draw that he promised from the atty i'm not particularly fussed with the atty the way it is intrigue to give the reduces a try but not willing to get one until its in a shop near me so i dont have to pay EU shipping again lol...... or I could just wait a week or to and get another KF5 except this time a clone which will by then probs come with the airflow reduces and all the rest for probably 1/2 of the price when including shipping...

First Build - First Impressions    Love it! Love it! Love it!

porch300.jpg

First Build: Same as for my KMV3 - 2mm, 28g kanthal, 10 wraps, 1.5Ω, organic cotton, about 1.5mm above air hole. Don't know how I feel about those hooks on the deck- they seem to get in the way, but perhaps I'll learn how to make use of them. As with my KMV3, I use much shorter wicks than what I see most people stuffing in their videos- just enough to touch the bottom of the well.

Air Flow: I'm MTL and love the draw at 1 or 2 pips (as Busardo calls them!). I'm a former KFL guy, but really prefer an easier draw.

Flavor: Wow! Full bodied, warm, mellow flavor with all the sweetness and color of Ahlusion's Caramel Wildwood coming through! Better flavor than my KMV3. Some have reported a "harshness" but not here! It's all warm, moist and tasty wonderful! ;)

Vapor: Lots of it! I think this tank is a thirsty juice drinker, but that's OK when I'm getting this kind of flavor and vapor!

Price: $108 USD delivered in one week from MTMStore in Croatia with excellent customer service! If you decide to order from them, be sure to register an account first and contact them requesting to be placed in the Non-VAT group to avoid the tax.

Initial Conclusion: This baby is a winner! I love things that WORK, and I see a second purchase in the future!

Great write up.

Did you not find it harsher than the KMV3?

Kinda miffed that yours got to you in NC from Croatia faster than mine has from GA to FL, Mist :D

"Undeliverable as addressed" => "Forwarded" => ????
Best they can give me is a case number since they don't know where it is or why it was forwarded since the address was correct and I'm getting other post. Ugh lol. I've been itching for it to arrive but it might be a while still

/end rant

I like a sort of hybrid mtl/lung inhale ("loose mtl"?) so this tank seems right up my alley

Extended sizzle followed by burnt hit:

I'm getting this today from my V5 (happens occasionally with my MV3). Quick fix is to close JFC, open top cap (if you hold next to ear, there's a little "pfft" of air pressure relief) and close. Any theories as to what's causing this pressure build up? I used to get this with shorter contact coils in my KFL. Next coil I'l shoot for 1.6Ω instead of the 1.5 I've got in there now.

Just did my first (ever) build on the K5, and I guess I did pretty good, although I don't have any other builds as a reference. I used 24 AWG @ 9 wraps 3mm diameter, which got me .94Ω. I'm vaping it on a Provari Radius @15 watts (boost 5), with the airflow wide open doing DL hits. So far, I'm really liking it, but I might need to reduce the nic in my mix (currently 12mg).

I can say one thing for sure... With these old eyes, I'm definitely going to need a 4x or 5x magnifying lamp if I'm going to keep doing these builds. :D

Yer I think I once got what you got there I think the sizzle is just the wick drying out and the burnt hits is obviously no elequid getting to the wick I assume this is caused by packing in the cotton a tad tight in the juice wells which creates a air pressure buffer between the juice and the cotton. I think there are 2 ways to get around this less wicking or take one or two large drags just after you build it with the air flow turned down should suck e liquid towards your wick. I also got the opposite problem once or twice opened the juice flow to much and turned down the air flow which caused the deck to get a bit flooded and gurgle a bit.

Actually, the cause may have been exactly the opposite. I'm very careful about not over stuffing, and in this case, my wicking in the juice wells was pretty spare. I re-wicked, being sure that both wells were filled, but not stuffed with cotton, and the sizzle/burnt hits have not recurred. I suspected that I was a tad "under-wicked" because I was also getting some seepage from the AF intake.

Has anyone tried the MTL kit yet? I ordered my last week from the UK. Should be here in the next few days. :) In LA currently. I'm from Salt Lake, so yeah any day. Just getting excited, just hope that i'm not too disappointed with it.
Yes mine arrived - works well, just a pain we had to get it. I still prefer the KMV3 though.

After using it for about 5 days now, I can say that I love everything about it (well, except 2 things...more later).

I love the workmanship and attention to details regarding function. It has an incredibly smooth (when I get the juice flow right...still getting used to it) and consistent vape with great flavor....easy build (love the tabs, don't get why some people dislike them), easy wicking, easy filling with zero mess.

A con for me is the size. Although, it's not as bad as I was expecting it to be. Still, it almost doubles the height of my preferred set-up (Radius), and it looks like a joke (height-wise) next to another Radius with a Theorem on it. I will gladly buy more if/when they release a shorter version.

The second con is the 510. Thankfully, I had zero issue with it connecting to either of my Radius mods, unlike some previous posters. No, my issue is with 510s in general for an atty of this mass. Already, the stress is starting to show...as of today, it has started to wobble and rattle on both of my mods (I don'y baby them and have one with me at all times...in my pocket, etc). It's highly annoying and it's beginning to negatively affect the quality of my experience. Anyone else have this happen?

From the K5 manual:
"The Svoemesto Kayfun 5's recommended use is for coils with a minimum resistance of 0.5 ohm and an electric input from 10 watts to 40 watts."

Sounds like a perfect match for the Radius...except for the 510. P3 connector please!

Yes I agree. A p3 connector would be great. My v5 connects fine to my radius, but can get loose over time.
