I'm here, when I'm here
I'm ready to pull the same trigger. Please post up your brand and observations when you start to break it down.

Well, here's the brand...

1-Gal-100mg

Got the 100ml bottles yesterday. Just need to sterilize them up and get to fillin'. Picked up one of these, too...

Gallon Despensing Pump

Should make things easier. :D (at least I hope it makes things easier) :?: I'll let y'all know about the rest.

The pump... Waste of $$?? Maybe not considering it was only around $6. I eat more than that for lunch. I will tell you this...

See what looks to be a "flat white washer" right on top of the cap of the pump? It seeps after a while. The other thing is, the straw of the pump doesn't reach all the way down to the bottom of the gallon container.

As far as the nic itself. It's not completely clear, as to say, it has the same "lite pinkish"?? tinge as other nic's. Not an issue for me. 2 gallons of nic (7570.82ml) should've yielded almost 76-100ml bottles. I filled the bottles to the nape of the neck of the bottle (105ml=11 and 3/4 pumps of the pump). With that thought, I should've ended up with 72 bottles of nic. Only got 68 when finished, which tells me each gallon was short by, around, 215+/-ml. In the grand scheme of things, I have enough nic to last me 6-7 years so, I'm not gonna complain too much. :D

Who was it you ordered from Red? How was the odor and taste. I still need to pick up at least another gallon.

ChemNic

The odor was very faint, imo and, I haven't tasted it yet but, if my nose is any indication of what it'll taste like, there probably won't be any.

Glad to see there's still inexpensive nic available. I might have to pony up the funds to pick up a couple liters of that stuff @Sugar_and_Spice found.

Anybody try that yet? How's the quality?

I'm putting together a flavor order at the moment, mostly stuff for my CCrunch experiment and odds and ends I wanted to experiment with. Need to figure out what I'm running low on as well. Geez this is getting expensive fast! Looking at at least $100 in flavors and I need more VG soon!

I've been spending too. I've spent about as much in the last month as I usually do in a year trying to stock up. I wonder if this thing will affect BCV and TFA? Should I be ordering the largest bottles of flavoring that I can get my hands on?

That's a very good question. There's a difference between those two. BCV is clearly about vaping, even its name. TFA seems to have scrupulously kept that word off its site. The opinion I see most often is that companies thaat sell flavorings to the world in general will be OK. That seems fairly convincing to me so far. Maybe BCV will need to set up a separate entity to sell food flavorings.

Still an open issue though. I would hate to guess wrong and end up short. It's the only thing left on my list and I can't decide.

I haven't decided yet either. I might pick up big bottles of at least the ones I know I'm going through so far. I just don't feel like I've been mixing long enough to get a really good handle on what I will need long term. There are a few and I guess maybe I should at least buy those over the next couple months.

I will see if @mikepetro will share his findings for nic in this thread. He is the one that recommends e-liq. com . Says his order is crystal clear....
    :)
Hmmm seeing as I got tagged, let me read back a bit and see what I am getting myself into......

OK, looks like I am being asked about e-Liq.

I first dealt with this companies Chinese parent (e-cig.com) back in 2013, before they opened this US facility. It was good nic. However, like many Chinese companies, there customer service left a lot to be desired by US standards. e-Liq has similar customer service problems and their website is also lacking. I believe it mostly a cultural/language difference as I have had similar issues with lots of other Chinese companies.

Their nic is good though, good enough that I bought more of it. It is also very reasonably priced compared to others out there. It is clear, has a medium throat hit, no black pepper or any other off notes. I have bought nic from WizLabs, RTS, NudeNic, Alchem, HiLiq, and and a few others. This nic was on par with the best of them.

Here is e-Liq 100mg PG base that I got a couple weeks ago, been vaping on whats in this flask ever since it came in:

    20160519_182803_zpsmzjxxuon.jpg

It titrated out accurately, as least as far as home titration can tell.

Both TFA and Capella don't mention vaping or eliquid etc. anywhere on the sites, as far as I've seen. Also, their flavors were labeled "For culinary use only" before the deeming reg came out.

However, given their product line, it's within the realm of possibility that the FDA could attempt to regulate them, if they decide their products are "reasonably expected" to be used in e-liquid.

Even so, the FDA doesn't have unlimited resources, and it's likely the issue would go to court. Hopefully, the FDA decides that going after "food" flavoring isn't high on the priority list, since they'd most likely have to fight for it.

    BOOM!

Did you order the nic in pg or vg? Was wondering how thick if you ordered the vg and if you did was it hard to get through the pump?

Yup. 100% VG. Most of the folks that.....I get donations from for the eliquid I "give" them :D....vape 70-80VG so, it's just easier/better to order it that way. As far as the pump goes, a lot like lotion. Not difficult at all. :)
