I don't like white because, I work in too many very dirty spots. I've never been too much of a pretty mod kind of guy. Most of my mods are natural Al, Brass, Ti, along with some wood. Maybe the woods are pretty. But don't let me sway the way you go about things. Time is money after all.

I have an all black satin coming for myself.:thumb: I have a method to the madness. If I wanted my black one I figured I'd soften the blow to wifey by suggesting she get one too!:rules: She wasn't wild about the amber ultem and black was too masculine so I had a pow wow with Turbo and came up with the white delrin option. It worked!;)

your opinion is valuable to me and I guess I never considered what you are saying... not so sure that the white would be susceptible to getting dirty looking, didn't so much even think of that tbh but I'm going to use one of these a bit and see... I'm kinda imaging that it will be impervious to getting dirty beyond just a simple damp wipe down but gonna explore this aspect of it a bit and see... not saying my decision revolves solely on you but you are one of a very few who has an interest in this mod at all really, so def something I consider worth at least considering I guess :) thanks...

:D Two words…magic eraser.

(A little baking soda | toothpaste may help. Heck, tastes a lot better than Brasso in your juice.)

Good luck. :)

How you been Mac?:toast:
I'm still using and loving my ReadyXwick / Nuppin combination.:thumb:
It's been awhile since we had discussions about it when it first came out. Time flies!!

Glad to see you're lovin' the vape. Busy as all get out here mapping opportunities stemming from this interminably pending vapocalypse. I'm 75% deployed with ceramic on 70+ devices and trying to perfect the 75W cross-over strain build twixt mech and box that let's you clean chain productively at 40. Just a few projects rudy. Campin' here as I see a squonker on the horizon. Hopin' the chips come in for all of us.

Good luck. :)

:w00t: 70+ devices!! Sounds like my wifey with her shoe collection!
I don't have the quantity but still have the quality staple mods. My REO, Corey's Custom Classic, Custom made regulated KOA Woodvil courtesy of Turbo, and soon to be BAM DNA 75. Turbo introduced me to my first experience with a regulated mod with the Woodvil. Ever since then I have been spoiled and my mechanicals have been feeling neglected!
Glad you are well.

I just don't get the fascination with the yellow ultem!! I have yet to see anything produced in it that looks good, imo... I get that it is a stronger material than say delrin or nylon, but the translucent yellow is just a huge turn-off.

Different strokes for different folks!
Ultem comes in black as well...different stroke for us different folks.:toast:

Yeah, I saw the black and have always wondered why more people wanted the yellow. The black looks slick as :censored:... My vape journey came to an end a month ago but still check in on the forum almost daily still... 6yr habit that continues on!!:w00t::w00t:

:w00t: 70+ devices!! Sounds like my wifey with her shoe collection!

One day my wife sternly asked me why I needed so many mods when I only had 1 mouth to vape with. In one of my few quick reply moments I asked back why she has so many shoes when she only has 2 feet.

Well worth the night on the couch! :D

wow man good for you for quiting. I have some mixed feelings about the amber or yellow as you call it. as a salesman here now I like it primarily because so many other people like it :p

actually I kinda like it in small doses, for my own use I like it as a trim such as when I do a black ultem body with amber door and/or chip cover. I don't really hate it as a full amber but I look at it as perhaps being a little bit on the flashy or bling side of things I guess... honestly I'm finding that the people who choose amber over black are about 3:1 at this point and I attribute this to both the fact that people who are buying expensive mods actually do want bling and also because the black, while being just as awesome as far as properties, it just doesn't have any kind of distinguishing look and it looks more like just a more common delrin mod. lots of people go for the amber just so it's very obvious that it's something special... to me the black is low key or stealthy while the amber is a bit more bling and flash. nothing wrong with either I guess....

mac if the white ever got to the point of actually needing magic eraser to clean it then that would just make rays opinion very much correct, I wouldn't want to have to keep cleaning it like that just to keep it looking white. if it gets dirty looking like that with normal use then I too would dismiss it as not being practical for a work mod but I'm thinking that this won't really be the case.... we'll see I guess...

I have a white delrin mod and I can say that it withstands dirt quite well. I don't even need a damp cloth, except the one time it went with me on a cannon cleaning spree.

delrin has similar properties in some ways to teflon, meaning nothing really sticks to it including anything that would make it look dirty so getting dirty shouldn't really be so much of an issue I think

adam I haven't really been doing any pictures for you yet cause truth is these woods just don't look like much until they start getting close to the finishing stages but here is a peek :)

they don't look like much yet but these things are going to be drop dead gorgeous man, really nice blocks here...

the woods have been seriously delayed because I had so many changes going on with the ultems and then afterwards I had to recalibrate everything to go back to the wood again but the benefit is now these woods will have all of the updates and refinements that the ultems got too :) I have 3 other woods going through with yours here, one is for another guy here and 2 are just extras that I threw into the batch just to make them just worth doing... one of those 2 might just be right up kelts alley and the other is another really nice looking stab wood that will look really sweet with a copper faceplate but I'll show more as they get caught up with the others...
