Thank you CES and Moondragon. I, too, like the the gems turning bad dreams into sparkles.
Here's my first and forever passion, working in my handmade art journal:
Ohhh! I like it. I bet there are all sorts of treasures inside.
I love handmade books and journals. I'm not as fond of altered books though. Probably because i like to read too much, and you can't read an altered bool
I garden, as in plants that are odd but not usually edible, and I am an illustrator for my real job and dabble in graphic design for extra cash and for a dog rescue group for fun!
ooh! love this thread. before ecf, I was a big ravelry addict (it's a knitting forum). I love to knit, about a half dozen of my friends had babies a year or so ago and it was baby blanket time. I found this cool diy teething necklace pattern online and have made 2 dozen of them for my friends whose babies are now teething. It's more fun than it sounds, took me less time to make 24+ necklaces then knitting one baby blanket. heh. cheaper too!
I want to get back to quilting after the holidays, I have to finish a t-shirt quilt for my 15 year old from his baseball shirts....quilting is very peaceful and relaxing for me, just got to get my machine tuned up first.
Wow, love some of the crafts pics here. I am a knittier and soapmaker. I also dabble in Tapestry loom when I have it out. Big time reader no matter if it is a book, e reader, phone or computer. Spending lots of time reading this forum.
I like weaving, Cybercat. But threading the loom is tedious - especially if you're someone like me who can't cut all the warp threads even close to the same length
We had a book thread around here somewhere- let me see if i can find and reopen it
