Yea. The drip tip has to shoot down the vapors throat into his stomach with internal and external 3rd degree burns. Then it makes the news.
Well the guy in Florida that blew up his mech did. They take every opportunity to knock vaping. Put him in critical condition but noone ever said what he was doing to cause it to blow up. And there was a celebrity it made the news too. I have no doubt that anything bad happens in the vaping community will be shown. Then there is the study on popcorn lung which was completely blown up even though not a fair analogy

I was living in Florida when that happened, everyone was talking about it. I made sure to inform everyone I came across that APVs don't just "blow up" for no reason, it is user error that causes this. I now live in Kentucky and vaping is no where near as popular up here.

That's the way it is on this side of the mountains, the westside of WA it is real popular. That's where provape is, vape nw, lots of vape shops this side is like a different country. Florida I know is really popular

I still don't understand how it could "blow up". A proper 18650 would vent first, reach thermal runaway and then continue to vent violently but no explosion. A mod would only "blow up" if there was such inefficient vent holes so that the venting would cause pressure to build inside and then rupture at the weakest point, causing an "explosion". Either way my rx200 is here and I have 3 fairly new unmarried VTC5s that I will use for 2 days or so. Wish me luck!

Legs,

The Radio Control folks have been using Lion(s) and LiPo(s) for a very long time and occasionally they screw up also. The Air-Line companies and the USPS have some concern over large quantities of Lion and LiPo batteries be in there system. But they would also get upset if you wanted to ship large quantities of Black Powder, Lighter Fluid, or Finger Nail Polish. No big surprise there!

Your continued harping on the subject does no one any good. You keep using the reference to the pictures of a melted battery holder in a "
Reuleaux by Jaybo Designs DNA 200 Triple 18650 Mod" that for one thing uses a battery sled that has a know problem of ripping the plastic covers on the batteries. The units come with a warning about NOT using batteries with a damaged plastic cover.

Now no one knows what happened and to keep using it as an example of things "The Media" will use as examples of the hazards of vaping is self defeating. There are enough threats coming from the FDA (which has nothing to do with batteries).

Why don't you just leave the subject alone unless you find out EXACTLY what happened with that DNA 200 Reuleaux. As far as as the guy with the (and until you prove me wrong) Pipe Bomb Mech and/or the Celebrity that you say wound up in Critical Care. I am not going to buy in on that either.

If you go back far enough to the older chemistry Lion(s) and LiPo(s) yes they had some problems. The newer chemistry batteries have eliminated most of the problems from the past.

Question for you Legs, How long ago was the "Mech" failure that put the person in the Critical Care Unit? What were his injuries? Was it home made? Was it properly vented? Was it the older style chemistry batteries, Was it a build mistake... ad infinitum.

It is your right to post about any undocumented claims you like but why don't you give the Pot Stirring a rest.

PS - Anyone that has shipped a package locally vs across the country already knows that it typically takes longer for in-State (or a relatively close shipper) shipments to reach their destination. I think they call that the difference between multihop truck delivery and one air plane from New Your to Spokane WA.

I think the biggest problem is with Mechs. Guys stack batteries and they will fire anything no safety features there. Batteries and button and a 510 connection.

You've got me confused with someone else. I hadn't even heard about it till someone mentioned it here. I am not harping on it at all I did point out some of the overrated things but I didn't even know it was a Reuleaux. Better go back and Re Check. And the one that put the guy in CC was maybe 2 months ago. Perry at Varitube told me about that. Like he said no details put out like with most of these stories. They just mention Oh and another vaper was hurt by this or that and no other details. I don't harp on this crap and I rarely pay any attention to it. Better check your sources.

If a battery vents, a mech can easily explode with vent holes. It maybe a lesser explosion but it can still easily explode. Relying on vent holes for safety is not safe.
