This was actually about a month after we moved in. The wild turkey activity has kind of tailed off since we got Bo and I fenced the back yard in, but they still come by, every now and then, and graze in the back yard. Hmmmmm...maybe I'll get a pot and a rock set up, yummy!

Stove Top Stuffing? No way! Cornbread, or even whole wheat in a pinch, with chestnuts and mushrooms at a bare minimum.

Good afternoon! Never was big on macaroni salad though ...

My mom used to make macaroni salad with mayo, ketchup, a little pickle seed and I'm not sure hat else. The ketcup was more for color than flavor and she was very careful with the pickle seeds. Sounds a little strange, I know, but it was great, and I can't figure out what that secret ingredient was, and I've tried many times.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that too. I know there was some onion, either very finely diced or powdered and maybe a touch of garlic, but there was something else and I just can't define it.

I bet it's vinegar. Or maybe some kind of spice, like smoked paprika...that livens anything up.

I prefer sawdust to paprika, it has more body and a nice woodsy flavor to it.

Actually, SMOKED paprika has that too! Plus it's a little sweeter than sawdust!
but sawdust has more fiber.

I dunno Jerry. It'd probably be a better idea to go for something with a lower splinter content. At least choose the fine ground variety!
