1.7ohm SmokTech cartomizers, what are your thoughts????

I am looking for a new cartomizer, I have used the 1.5 dual coils and kanger 2.0 horizontal. I only have ego batteries right now (looking for a cheap upgrade). The dual coils kill the ego batteries fast and just dont do it for me anymore. I really like the kangers but have been thinking of the 1.7 smoktech as a good middle ground...whats everyones thoughts on these with an ego battery.

They are not "middle ground", anything. They are the absolute best, IMHO!! On a 3.7 - 4.0 range device, they work out to about 8.5 - 9.0 Watts, which is right where my sweet spot is.

I cannot praise the performance of these cartos enough.

I'm going to give the 2.7's a chance with HV and see if they are close to where these guys are.

The 1.7 smoktechs are definitely going to be part of my next order after hearing Dusty talk them up so many times I have to try them and see for myself if I have been missing out.:vapor:

It ain't just me. There's a couple of us here that love this carto. Chinner and RolandPibb are two that come to mind. Pherse is a recent convert, but I'm sure there's a few more that I'm missing. :)

Has anyone used these on a Provari or Lavatube?

Funny you should ask, I've got one on my LT right now. It doesn't really need to be on the LT, considering that it's set at 3.8v for a total of 8.5w. Like I said in an earlier post, I want to try one of the 2.7's on the LT to see how it rocks at HV.

Thanks Dusty--so they will work ok on the LT? I'm planning on getting the 2.7's too but wanted to have some 1.7's on hand that I can also use with my KGO battery when I'm out and about as well as on my Provari/LT.I'm assuming that the "not recommended for mosfet driven batteries" disclaimer is just the usual warning and that the 1.7 ohm will work fine on a KGO/EGO(just less battery life).

I've never really used it on an ego, just on my 18650 driven 3.7 devices, but if the eGo or Kgo put out that voltage, I don't see a reason why it would not work the same with the 1.7's..

Hello there, the 1.7 ohms are definitely the best to use on a 3.7 but remember this...you must make sure you fill them correctly...they do not tell you this where you purchase them...they will tell you something like they hold up to 2.5 ml, but they do not tell you that if you fill it like a boge 510 that you will get a dry burn and lose the carto. Make sure you put about 2 ml into one and you will be safe.

I am surprised no-one has mentioned that.

One would expect that filling a carto is a given. Goes without saying, LOL.

Filling a carto is dependent on the size of the carto, not by a fixed forumla for amount of juice. You fill till the top gets slushy, and then let is sit for an hour or so until the juice saturates the entire carto.

I do not agree with you...a newbie is not going to put 60 or 70 drops in a carto after they have been using regular 510s and what is so funny about that?
