I wish they wouldn't advertize that way. 1 carto equals more like 3/5 pack. I just switched to vaping pretty recently, and I use 24 mg strength to cover the craving for nicotine. I think you will need something a little stronger to start with.

+1 for Needo's response. I've been vaping almost two months (analog-free, but vaping with analogs for about 3), and when I first started, my little kr808d-1 starter kit came complete with 18mg cartos. I couldn't understand why I just couldn't kick those final few analogs... Until I bumped it up to 24mg. Now, in my final years of smoking I smoked just under a pack of American Spirit blues (full flavored) per day (which have, on average, 1.8mg nic each). I assume that while ULTRA light SHORTS have a decent chunk less nicotine, I doubt that 11mg is enough to satisfy your cravings at this stage. I've only worked myself down to 12mg after being analog-free for just under two months, and I STILL have two 30ml bottles of 18mg e-juice on hand for those especially stressful times. ;)

Now there's two things you should take from this, that the other members have already echoed in some way or another. FIRST, you do not save money at first. And in no way should you feel bad about that (your lungs are thanking you!). :D I, for instance, have spent a decent amount of money (despite the fact that my American Spirits were almost $7 a pack here in Wyoming) over what I was spending on analogs so far investing in mods (an E-Power 14650, a V2 Maxi Roughstack, and a Joye 510 Passthrough -- with a Provari on the way and a waitlist for a matte purple Reo Grande) and for a good two weeks recently I was buying accessories and juices almost daily. Just keep in mind that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Once you find the juice, nic content, and PV that works for you, you will start seeing a large difference in the amount of money you're spending on vaping versus smoking analogs. A good, intermediate PV will last you anywhere from 6 months to a year or more. Filling your own carts and/or cartos will save you a heap as well. There are many reputable suppliers (check the supplier forum!) that sell inexpensive, quality accessories and/or juice.

Is this what you are vaping currently? I'm not very experienced with the D1's but I am sure there are members on here who are. I found that the best intermediate mods are the Joye eGo or the E-Power. Did you order it with pre-filled cartos or blanks? Blanks are definitely preferable if you want to save money. With some TLC and routine maintenance, quality cartos can go for quite some time. And blanks are always good for more refills than pre-filled. I'm sure there are some good adapters/extensions out there for you to open up the possibility of other carto connections. MadVapes has loads.

The second point is that a single carto does not equal a pack of cigarettes, as the other members have said. They usually last for as many drags as 5 to 15 regular sized analogs, depending on many factors. If you chainvape (and I definitely did when I started, and still do at times now), it's normal to go through 5 or more cartos a day. This is where re-filling your cartos and looking into mods starts to pay off.

Welcome to the forum and happy vaping, TriciaS. :]

Everyone here honestly wants to help- we've all been there. Most of us didn't know a thing about ecigs or anyone else that vaped. It's a whole new world for all of us.

No one tells to to search

No one tells you 'google is your friend'.

I really like this. I'm very used to the rudeness of other forums, and it's refreshing to not see that kind of attitude here.

Yes that is what I have just upgraded to. I have 1 pig and 4 d1 regular looking e cigs. debating on what to go with. If I want to buy another pig or go with something else. Love the pig compared to the regular looking D1s but I am not getting something I need. Not sure. Has anyone noticed nasty smelling urine..... I know gross but just wondering.....

I started off with one of the mall sale type e cigs and wasn't getting any satisfaction off of it. Switch to an e cig that I can fill a blank with juice and been happy so far, had to refill it a few times in one day but chock that up to just learning to use it.

Refilling is normal. I typically refill my clearos about 4 times per day.

How do you figure 1 carto=1 pack is a lie?

One carto and a bottle of juice far exceeds 1 pack. (so it's only half a lie) They just don't bother to tell people how to use them.

The only thing I don't like about KR is they don't care who's label they put on the box, which amounts to deceptive marketing.
Won't use their products because of their marketing practices.

That is a good point!! Unless we're talking about prefilled disposable cartos. Can those even be filled?

Yes they can be, and they actually need topping off before ever being used.
Just use a condom to force the juice in.

Slowly press the carto into the juice until it starts to bubble out at the connector.

There has to be something wrong with me. I use several cartos and only smoked 1 pack of ultra light shorts a day. I am vaping 3 cartos a day at 11 mg and sometimes more. Is my math off or is it a spill. I only paid 35 dollars a carton on analogs. It is costing me at least 1/3 more in price. Now I am not complaining. I am just wondering if anyone else has run into this? I love being free of the nastiness of analogs. Hope I got the terms correct.

They told me the same thing 1 carto = 1 pack cigarettes when I bought my mall kit. By their calculations I was smoking 4 packs a day, LOL. Gosh, that lie irritates me. It's scary too! They're trying to justify their ridiculous cartomizer pricing. Vape until you're satisfied. You make the rules. Your body will tell you if you're vaping too much nic with a headache or nausea - any kind of weird feeling. Drink lots of water and listen to your body, not the liars trying to turn their pennies to fortune scaring people. Glad you're here.

I understand wanting to equate cartos or eliquid with my original smoking habit. But it DOES NOT MATTER. You are no receiving thousands of toxins per day that you originally did. You are feeling BETTER than you did before you were smoking analogs. Embrace the health benefits before your try assess the nicotine addiction. You can ALWAYS step down on the nicotine. Vaping is a nicotine replacement step and not a cure for nicotine addiction. Just like a patch...you are STILL consuming nicotine and perhaps MORE than you did when you were smoking analogs, but you are NOT smoking analogs and that's the most important and HUGE first step. Embrace it, my friend.
