So yeah kayfun and Russian 91 no matter what diameter coil I use how I wick it (rayon/ cotton/ angled with s wick straight drop on deck near channel etc...) tried so many different ways after 3-4 hits chain vaping it hits a wall and dry hits until I let it sit or cover the airhole and primer puff...... Is there a solution for this or am I not drawing hard enough?, I usually do mouth so lung and double hit do I need to just do lung hits??? could there possibly be something wrong with my DNA30 or battery and it's not putting out the voltage it says it is? I am lost everything worked fine for me for the first few weeks but now all my Russians and kayfun I have this problem... I am thinking my need for vapor has changed or maybe I am experiencing my first vapers tounge hence taking longer draws and drying my wick out

Chain vaping is more like never sitting the mod down, not sucking the guts out of it.

Give it a try at 1/2 or less full. May be that you are not drawing fluid into the wicks.
(Did not list Eliquid blend) 50/50, 100vg?
Might try a few drops of distilled water and always leave a decent air bubble when filling.

Well I bottom fill from screw on all of mine could that be my problem? how am I supposed to leave the air bubbles you speak of with bottom fill? I have been using thicker juices recently I guess Nicoticket Home Slice and H1N1 not even sure on their vg/pg but they seem thicker.... but I was having the problem with some thinner juices from Alice in vapeland too now that I think about it. When you say maybe I am not drawing liquid into the wicks I agree that what seems to be happening but why is it happening?... oh and yes by chain vaping I don't mean I am sitting there taking a hit exhaling and right away taking another hit I just mean keeping my mod in my hand and taking hits every 20sec-1 minute

I've more or less had the same experience with my KFL. However, I came across a post on reddit a little while ago and finally got around to trying out this method of wicking, and I've been pleasantly surprised to find out that after two days of heavy vaping, I have yet to get a dry hit so far. Can't hurt to give it a test run:

tired of getting dry hits on the KFL+/Russian91 with cotton?

hey jd, when crxess mentions air bubble, it simply means not to fill tank all the way up. if you fill to a certain slightly lower point then full, you will be able to see an air bubble in your tank as you tip the mod up side down. what I do is to fill the tank, before inserting the fill screw, I put my finger over the fill hole screw and tilt the tank upside down. while doing this, look at the liquid in the tank, at a certain point as you tilt, you will simply see the air bubble, this tells you that there is an air space in the tank and that its not 100 percent filled with juice only. this is important because if filled completely, you will have issues. although this is very important, I doubt its your problem unless you have been filling all these devices completely up to the top consistently.

yes if that's the case then im sure this is your problem. there has to be a certain volume of air for it to work just right. some just fill liquid past window (when held upside down) and not much into base, and some fill to 4mls, but no more then that. i fill from a syringe myself and usually will fill between 3.5 to 3.75mls.

I also syringe fill. What I do is fill it up slowly until it starts to come out of the fill hole. I then suck 0.5ml back out and that seems to work great for me every time. I use 70pg/30vg juice and for thinker juices taking out a little more after filling might help out.

turns out it was a combination of over filling AND using too much wick. I realized when I was building my coils on a smaller 1/16 I never had these problems but once I started on a 2.4mm the problems started... well I was using too much cotton doh..... didn't realize too much cotton would he dry hits thought it would flood

Yeah to much wick the juice channels only wick so much juice really. Chain vaping or using heavy juices will make this worse. The tank works on air pressure and needs air in the tank to keep pressure the same with the outside air. My eXpro does not have these issues as the channels make the kayfuns look pathetic.

I finally figured out what was happening to me.... the ends of my wicks dropping down on my deck in the Kayfun and Russians was just too much cotton regardless if I had the right amount going through the coil I found I have to trim the fatty end hanging down into the deck and basically make it the same width all the way around as basically keeping the entire wick the same diameter as whatever coil size I am using. If anyone else is having trouble this ended up being my problem with all of my builds with wicking the Kayfun and Russians. I don't see anyone ever mention this in their build videos but I am having much better luck once I thread my wick through the coil trimming the part hanging down to the deck to make the entire wick the same diameter as the coil and not fluffy and fat
