So Cal
So I have been analog free for 1 week today. Here is a summary of my experience thus far.
  • Started on the highest level of nic(24mg) found I need to go down a level.
  • Considering a new system after spending some time here. Might send back the Green Smoke for the Volt. (can send it back in the first 30 days)
  • Haven't really noticed any dramatic changes regarding my health. I still feel weezy at times, still out of breath under strenuous conditions. Almost like I never quit. (hoping this changes)
  • Really not craving any analogs at all, just think I am now hooked on vaping instead.(would like to be off that at some point as well)
  • My wife and kids are extremely happy. (really, really happy)
  • Would I change anything, YES! Wish I would have started here before ordering my kit. (real users giving real advise)
So here's to the next week, I anticipate it will only get better.

Just try not to overdo vaping, drink fluids, eat well, maybe take vitamins for a few days as your body gets rid of the 4000 chemicals from the cigarettes

If 24mg nic was too high for you, especially on KR808D-2 (Greensmoke) or KR808D-1 (Volt, Vapor4Life) which are hot little 3.7v minis, that could be irritating and may be the reason your breathing doesn't feel better yet. Nicotine is a skin irritant so you need to find a balance of acceptable hit that does not irritate you.

16-18mg is a very nice level and is where I started. In some strong-hit flavors from Vapor4Life I preferred 10-12mg.

Your taste buds and sense of smell should start getting better soon too.

I definitely recommend Volt over Greensmoke and you should order the Volt now to get it in plenty of time to return the Greensmoke. Volt is KR808D-1, the supported 2-piece threading. At leCig.com you can buy a D1 to D2 adapter that will let you use your remaining Greensmoke cartos on the Volt.

Congrats on the first week!

Don't sweat the wheezing and such. Your lungs will take a while to clear and regain capacity, usually months. You may start to feel better once your lungs "purge," which may happen in a sudden fit of phlegm or it may just happen gradually, but after a few weeks I think you'll find you're coughing and clearing your throat less. But it does get better, it's just gradual. You'll have your senses of taste and smell back long before that -- if you haven't already noticed improvements in that area. (I was tasting and smelling much better just a week after switching, but everyone's mileage may vary.)

Stick with it. You're getting a solid handle on what you've got and what you want and you've already taken the biggest step. Now it's all about fine tuning and experimentation. It only and always keeps getting better. :)

Congrats on your first week of vaping ! I didn't feel an immediate difference in my health when I started vaping either but with time that all changed for the positive. it took me quite a while before my taste buds returned along with my sense of smell too so it just goes to show we are all a bit different and for some us some things take a bit longer than for others.

Enjoy !!!

I didn't notice any kind of difference until about a month in, being blood pressure and lung capacity, I can definite;y breathe better now. Blood pressure also isn't sky high like it was, and it's still dropping back to normal levels, and I'm going on 6 months nearly, just take it slow, and don't expect too much right away, or give up on it too quick... :)

pd..

I'm new to the site but vaping for over 13 months with great success.. All comments here are right on the mark. Keep in mind it may take a month and additional effort to hone in on your 'sweet spot' of strengths and flavors which are all very subjective. For example, I hear a lot of positive remarks about non-tobacco flavors but based on my experience and speaking with others, after several weeks - more or less, the trend is to settle into a tobacco flavor. There are flavors I enjoy but cannot vape all day on any one of them. That being said, identifying tobacco flavors can be a challenge as non will truly replicate a traditional cigarette. A couple of my favorites would be V4L cowboy (Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives) or a new start up Red Box (E cigarettes, cigarette electronics, e cigs, electronic cigarette starter kits, smokeless cigarette, electric cigarettes). Red Box has an excellent starter kit deal but their replacement carts are the same as V4L and others.

I keep hearing about how awfull analogs taste, but i really miss that taste.
I bought a Joye 510.
I'm waiting for some ejuice to come in from Halo and from VaporStation.
In the meanwhile, I'm on some ELiquid from Hangsen(DesertShip with & without menthol, in VG&PG) and something called MentholDeluxe. Hate all of them.
Nic-level 6mg, but I see now that might have been a bit too optimistic. Will raise levels to around 12mg on next orders.

Have you tried an analog since you switched? Because I thought I missed the taste too. Then I tried one and couldn't finish it because of how nasty it was.
