Hold up, can vapes set off smoke detectors? I've never had that problem and theres one in my room and my building will KILL me if i set that off...

Depends on the type, ones that just pick up blocked light might go off if you blew a high VG thick vapor right into them. You are safe in your room, just don't exhale vapor right into or under it as a precaution.
