I took a trip to a local mall this morning, and I was outside for a few hours just walking around. During the trip, I must've seen approximately 100 people puffing on analogs, and besides myself, I did not see one single person vaping. Not on a cig-alike, not on an ego, not on a mod, not on anything.

I know that vaping is more popular than ever before, but I sure wouldn't know that just by walking around outside. I vape just as if I were smoking an analog, which means very often, and when I'm walking around outside, I am often vaping. I wonder where all of the vape people are. Are they all hiding inside?

I'm not going to judge anybody who still uses cancer sticks, because I used to be one of those people not that long ago, but I feel that the vaping industry should do a better job of advertising how much better vaping is than smoking analogs in every single way.

Its your local government, they are anti vape to the max.

I can't disagree with that. I have nothing good to say about the politicians or the govt here where I am. They are afterall the same geniuses that tried to ban large sized sodas.

They ignore laws that they don't like (sanctuary city), and they waste their time trying to make up new, dumb laws.

At least the mallwill be less crowded once they die off. ;)

The vape shall inherit the earth.

don't you know that in this country we have the best politicians money can buy! my problem is that I can't afford to buy one:lol: vaping is not for everyone. all of my friends have tried it but several went back to smoking.it is the best smoking cessation tool out there but it does not work for everyone some addicts are going to die from their addiction and nothing can help them. we are the lucky ones

Besides my friend who I converted, another I tried to convert but failed and the people I've seen in one of the two shops in my entire state, I've never seen anyone vaping in the wild. This is Vermont, though...we're lucky to have running water and electricity.

After all the threads whining about cloud-chasers vaping in malls it's nice to see that stealth vapers are still undetectable.

Beat me to it! :D

I am very rural, but one of my last trips to "the city", I walked out of a Best Buy and hit my vape. Another "older" gentleman heading towards the entry saw me and stopped to ask what mod I was using. Since I was headed in the direction of his pickup, he walked back to it and grabbed his so we could compare and shoot the bull a bit. It was actually nice to actually run into another vaper.

I do see vapers a lot here anytime I am out and about. Before this year it was a rare sighting but now it seems they are everywhere :) honestly though the low key/stealth type vapers probably did go unnoticed in the past unlike the newer trend of cloud chasers which attract a lot of attention.

I don't know, but just guessing here--smokers, of course, HAVE to go outside, whereas vapors don't. So, naturally, you will see all the smokers outside. I don't usually hang around outside, because I don't have to. I don't vape openly in grocery stores or clothing stores, but I can always go to the restroom if I need to vape, which is rare, because I'm usually not in the store long enough to really need to vape. I do openly vape in restaurants (where allowed), visiting someone in a hospital room (allowed here), the bank last week (with permission, although strictly speaking, the official policy is no vaping). Vaping, done discretely, is pretty hard to detect or prove, so I think if done stealthily, you wouldn't even notice someone vaping unless you were specifically looking for it. Vapors aren't limited like smokers are, and they don't have to go outside. That's just my take on it.

If you were brave enough (or stupid enough) to start looking under bathroom stalls, you might see more vaping.

Three weeks in to my vacation here in Vancouver Canada and I have not seen anyone vaping. I do get the occasional "What is that?".

It's summer in Canada so they are all out making the best of those 3 weeks before the snow comes in mid August and the curling season begins again.

I've been vaping for well over a year, in an area that *apparently* has a lot of vapers, to judge from all the shops! In that time, outside of vape shops, I've encountered only 3 or 4 other vapers; once, walking around at a car dealership, looking at Silverados; once, thru the windows of our vehicles while sitting in traffic -- and that was another female, so that was cool too; and the 2 guys who sold us our ADT system were also both vapers. One time we walked into Kroger and a guy was walking out, vaping, but I didn't see him, my husband did.

Some vapers I didn't actually see, but saw their clouds -- driving into the lil strip mall where the Dollar Tree is, I saw a lady standing out on the sidewalk, smoking, and a few shops down there was this HUGE cloud, and the side-by-side comparison with cigarette smoke was amusing, and very telling. :D

But I'm equally surprised not to have seen a great many more, considering the number of vape shops around here.
