100% VG very thick. Best thinner to use?

I am new to DIY and can only use VG. My recipes taste fine but the mix is thick. I tried distilled H20 at a 4:1ratio (info found on ecf) now its too thin. Any suggestions?

No suggestions for that batch, but maybe next time use the minimum amount of water and move up from there.

If you already have a finished ejuice made from this....you could put in bigger bottle, make a bigger finished product but this time don't thin the vg at all. Depends on how much you like what you made and are comfortable with doing the math to make your 'new' diy vapable. Or the easiest way fould be to double the batch. ie. I would (in separate bottle) make a complete new batch using same ingredients as before....just don't thin the vg. Then combine the two bottles into a bigger one. Other than throwing the thin one away, this is all I could think of. You don't say how big a bottle you made is, but hopefully it is savable.

eta. Or just make a new batch--not thinning the vg and mix a little of the too thin batch in until you get the consistency you want. But again-- all depends how much you like this recipe. It could take a while to use up the too thin one---but at least you won't waste any. just my 2 pennies.

5-15% generally for only-VG(no PG) mixes depending on wanted viscosity and devices used... You can roughly say that water thins 4 times better than PG, so if you're wanting a 80/20 viscosity mix roughly, then use 5% water, and 10% is roughly a 60/40 VG/PG viscosity mix. This is just a rough estimate and also keep in mind that the viscosity of VG itself often varies from vendor to vendor.

Sorry, I meant DW when stating just water. Demineralized/deionized or distilled is all fine and equally good for our purposses here... We just want to avoid residue from minerals, and avoid added conductivity, I believe, with DW instead of tap-water, based on my googling of the subject...

In my country, the grocery stores generally have cheap demineralized water and not distilled, for about 1.5 bucks per liter. Distilled I can get online for 4-5x that price generally. That is of course still very cheap, when thinking how long it can be used, with the little of it we use, but not like you guys in the states with gallon's(3.8 liters roughly) of distilled water in grocery stores for a couple bucks or something... Crazy... But that is the same with nic, PG and VG also... You guys don't know how good you have it... :) (Of course not all here are from the states, but the majority seems to be imho...)

I myself use also only VG because I don't like the taste-profile of PG(dry bitter-sweet alchoholic taste imho), and use 5% DW, which is great for RDA's imho...

Why make a new batch when you can experiment with the old until you get the hang of it. If it's to thick add water if to thin add VG it's not rocket science:)..

The reason to add water is to get it to wick properly in your device, All devices are different so experimenting is nessessary. Start with 5% and work up. If it wicks correctly but flavor is muted then add a little more water. To thick a mix (even if it wicks properly) may also mute flavor.
