Toronto no smoking bylaw for restaurants.
* The Smoke-Free Ontario Act came into force on May 31, 2006.
* The Act prohibits smoking in enclosed workplaces and enclosed public places in Ontario in order to protect workers and the public from the hazards of second-hand smoke.
* In July 2009, the Act’s Regulation was amended to clarify the requirements as it pertains to outdoor patios of bars and restaurants.
* The Act prohibits smoking on an outdoor patio if any portion of a patio is covered or partially covered by a roof.
No where does it say vaping, vaporizers, electronic cigarettes. Vaping isnt smoking. THere is no combustion, no second hand smoke, no hazardous chemicals. so technically The bylaw doesn't exist for vaping. Tell that to the judge.
By April 2012 I bet my life savings the bylaw will include vaping. but until then, they cant charge you with smoking in a public place. But to avoid this just vape as if it where a cigarette until we win the fight vs health Canada.
