All the managers at Rockyard has been pretty pumped about it so far (they might give us the billiards room!), I'm just waiting on a final OK from the owner, which I should get this afternoon.

Drrp, the GM shot me down today. She liked the idea, but didn't want to spend all night explaining to all of her patrons that we weren't actually smoking. I'll hit up some other spots on my way home from work today.
Tell her we will have information and would be happy to talk to any of the patrons with concerns?
Then we'd be running around the restaurant all night interrupting folks' meals. She actually dug e-cigs, and asked me for more info so she could get some for her staff, but it would be a little bit of an imposition. There's a few places in C-Rock that actually still allow analog smoking in defiance of the law (it is a cowboy town after all, lol) so I'm sure I can find someone that wants to take our beer money.
So far, I count 9 people who've stated for sure they'll show up. I don't know what it costs to rent a meeting room, but here in lovely Colorado, we'd still potentially be fighting the smoking ban too. Yeah, I know, we're not smoking, but anybody running a business is going to weigh whether they want to be in for a hassle if some gubmint type doesn't see it that way. That's why I was thinking along the lines of patio seating.
There's a SWEET place in downtown Castle Rock called Sienna that has a very spacious outdoor patio. Drinks/food aren't super cheap, but the the atmosphere is unbeatable. I'll drop by there tonight.
I looked at the Sienna website today. Their patio does look awesome. Hopefully it doesn't snow lol

If necessary, some of us could share body heat.
Haha, well I just moved back from Chicago so I am used to the bone chilling cold that we don't get here lol. I am actually looking forward to a nice, mild (comparatively) winter.

Desperate enough? You'd think it wouldn't be so hard to get some place to take beer and food money for a dozen people all night. I don't get what's going on here- I did a demonstration for the chick at Rockyard, and this guy knew exactly what this was. Maybe they're worried about the police inquiring to see if we're smoking pot?
Anyway, I'll try Scoreboard on Thursday (I think Castle Cafe closes kind of early).

Maybe not even pot. Anybody could call and complain the they're allowing smoking. Now instead of a bunch of folks spending money, it's become a hassle.

We could sort of go back to AtomPunk's idea, rather than renting a meeting room we could just get a hotel room. Might seem kind of odd when ten different people take a tackle box into a hotel room, but maybe they'd just think we're a bunch of twisted perverts.
@Upinthehills - Hahahaha. Well the cheapest meeting room I found would probably run about $150. If I'm not working again tomorrow I will take another look.

@Kyle - Hey, check with The Fowl Line The Fowl Line Sports Bar and Restaurant I spoke with a manager there earlier today. He had to check on whether there were going to be any football games. There is no Nebraska game and the time for the CU game hasn't been posted yet (I looked them up so I could call BS if he tried to give me a line).
I am keeping my fingers crossed that you find a place and we get to colorado in time. Going to be iffy for me but I am sure going to try and I just put an order into freedomsmokeusa for a bunch of flavors to take with me. Not sure when we are moving but will be close. Would really love to meet all of you.
Ok, heard back from the Fowl Line this morning. We can have the team room! More details to follow...
