I had this same problem with my full size, mini has been great since day one. It took me a while to figure this out as I had changed coils and cleaned several times. Searched the internet and tried everything and it still didn't work. I finally broke down and took the whole thing apart even the white O rings on the top and bottom. I searched for cracks and found none also checked code on aspire website and it checked out. When I started to put it back together I didn't push the O rings all the way down. I screwed down the top piece and let the glass piece push the O ring into place. I placed the bottom piece into place and again I let the O ring on the bottom push itself into place. Since I have done this it hasn't flooded once and I have no gurgling at all and mine was pretty bad so hopefully my post can help someone else because I was ready to throw mine out as well.

    Hello.

I've had abosultely no leaks or problems with my Nautilus after using it for over 5 months.

I've seen other people have problems, though, and we've narrowed it down to a few things.

One, there is a huge difference between BDC and BCV coils. The BDC tend to have more taste and a gentler sweeter vapor. Also, all air holes can be used with no difficulty. The BVC produce a heavier vapor more like cigarettes, and can only be used with the largest hole. Otherwise you'll have clogging, leaking, giurgling.

The other common reason for leaking is over-tightening. Screw the Nautilus together so it just seals, don't tighten it past that point.

Another problem can be mis-threading of the coil, especially with the new BVC coils. The don't seat as far in and barely screw past a full turn, unlike the BDC. So many people over tighten/ruin threads trying to install their BVC coils.

There are occasional manufacturer mistakes. I don't see why people don't try to return their Nautilus to the seller, to try a diff unit.

Gurgling is cured by selecting the largest hole and gently blowing out the liquid/saliva that has fallen into the tube.

So with that, I hope you enjoy your Nautilus as much as I do. I tried many other atty's with no luck until I found Nautilus. Haven't had to replace anything but coils ever since.

    Hope this helps !

    hey, OP!
I have been singing the mini nauty's failures since i got mine - which was a whole 3 days ago. It was moody and muted and annoying - and it's finally breaking in. I was sitting at work yesterday talking to my vaping buddy about how terrible it is, because he was wanting one. And as I sit there, trash talking it, and vaping on it, I'm like...........well. It's kinda ok.

just got the nautilus yesterday with 9 bvc replacements i filled up with some vapor boost guavalicious first time trying it as well. the taste and vapor were what i was expecting from this beast but then out of the blue the dreaded leaking occured so i cleaned the tank problem solved for a short time changed coil same result. the juice seemed thinner than most i use even though it was a 50/50 blend hopefully this is the cause had such high hopes for this tank.

I have had my nautilus 5ml for a week or so now and i did have a problem one night and got all panicky.
Got some advice on here and watched a video and it has since functioned perfectly.

For me I - When refilling Hold the chimney and unscrew the bottom then I take out the coil , then i blow through the air hole then I close the air hole.
Then I unscrew the chimney from the tank wipe everything down and rinse off the chimney and tank then dry them.
Then screw chimney back on tank. Then screw coil onto bottom part - Just do it finger tight until it is just hits any resistance - I have also read where some people tighten the coil until it stops then undo it a quarter turn but just until it meets any resistance has been fine for me. Then I fill the tank - so far I have filled 1ml, 2ml,3ml. then I screw the bottom with the coil back on making sure that the air hole is closed. turn it slowly until it stops - no more it should not require much effort at all.
Turn the tank right side up , I open the air hole to the smallest setting and do a couple of dry pulls. Then Put it down and wait a couple of minutes.
Adjust the air hole to what you like - currently Im on the second largest hole.
Then I am good to go.
All this may not be required but after i had a bad night with leaking and gurgling I did all this and it has since been great.
Main points I think are having the air hole closed when you screw the bottom back into the tank and NOT over tightening the coil into the bottom or the bottom back onto the chimney.
Should find well I do that with correct voltage and such that very little effort is required to draw. One time i may have been using to low a voltage and not getting enough vape and drawing too hard.

I have 2 5s and 2 minis and I have had no problems using either coils. BVCs are abit muted vs bdc but the vapor amount is much higher. I use the tighter draw holes but maybe after 20 years of smoking my inhale is not much because I have 0 gurgle and 0 flooding. I love them they are easy to fill and I have no leaks so it is easy to carry around outside the house. The 5ml is great for road trips. I run mine with most juices at 15w on my SID and 11w on my MVP2. I have a 30w on order but I don't think they will hold up there.

I did recently start rebuilding and even with shaky hands disability it is very easy to do. I really like the taste I get of cotton vs everything else. It is very cheap to get started and it is worth the effort.

The Nautilus was the tank that finally allowed me to quit smoking. 120 days analog free right now, so I will always nostalgically love the Nautilus. Then I went to the Russian 91 and dripping, and then finally got a Squape Reloaded (which I'm in love with). Never had a problem with the Nautilus. Wifey also quit smoking with the Nautilus and is now using a Russian (I build and wick her coils), so for what it is, the Nautilus is awesome and WELL worth the money.

I hit the same problem. Haven't had the time to try and figure out exactly what is happening though. Since the first time it leaked:

I took all of the tank apart that I could (tank off the rig, inner part of the tank itself cleaned, pulled out the cartomizer (?) and cleaned out the piece and the seat for the piece, put a little water through the air intake portions (adjusted the air intake holes and pushed some canned air through each size), filled with roughly 3 ml's of some 50/50 flavored e-juice, finished the juice with out any issues (minor gurgle hear and there that would stop after a few good pulls), just today filled with another 3 mi's of a different flavor of e-juice (same maker) and is working great.

    Hope this helps!:D

I'm not thrilled with the Nautilus either. I've tried the coils it came with and BVCs. It hasn't leaked and the vapor is fine, but the flavor tastes as muted to me as other glassos/clearos. Luckily, I got it for a very good sale price, since for the full price I would be really disappointed. Before someone asks, it is an authentic Aspire. It works fine and to each his own, I just don't see what the hoopla is about. I also find the silicone blob ring at the bottom unattractive. I'm looking at the alternate tanks to see if it will help.
