In reading all the posts on Senator Hardens Facebook wall I read the following:

"I want to thank Senator Lamar Alexander and Senator Richard Burr for being a voice of reason during the tobacco Hearing today."

If you've seen the CSPAN rebroadcast consider also commenting and thanking these two Senators. I haven't yet seen the broadcast, but once I do I will take the time to post here as well!

Excellent, excellent suggestion. We have to give support those that support us!

Something tells me this Thread just Took a Left Turn into R vs D Land.

LOL

Party loyalty in this case will kill us. If we don't start to pay attention to the individual representatives and where THEY stand on this issue, and vote only by party affiliation, we've already lost.

KNOW who's going to stand up for us as vapers and support them, even if they aren't who you normally wouldn't support because of a single letter (D or R) behind their name.

Rather than edit, I just want to add this point. Regardless of YOUR party affiliation, think about this. If Harkin and Burr were both from your state and running against each other today, who would you cast your vote for, knowing where they stand on this issue? Would you cross party lines when casting your vote? Or would the letter behind their name be more important to you?

That's what I mean about really knowing who you are electing to represent YOU.

Tom Harkin kept mentioning about e-cigs being exposed and are targeted to kids numerous times..assuming it is harmful devices to childrens.. Sounds like he's already made up his mind in regulating e-cigs.. Hopefully to an extent and not all what FDA/CDC proposed.

E-cigs aren't for kids. Period.

This debate is more about producing false claims; a propaganda if you will. Just don't approved FDA application and the E-CIGS world will prevail.

If anyone was to cast a vote on one single issue, maybe they shouldn't be voting. I hate to say it, but there is a bigger picture. I know, I know... People do it all the time. :(

I think both parties are against many bodily autonomy issues and freedoms that they shouldn't be. It's only a matter of which ones they feel they can force on other people. People who think they know best for other people span both parties. Voting Republican may be good news for e-cigarettes, but it would be pretty bad news for women. Hence the flaws of the two party system. Not that it matters either way. The only thing both parties represent is the money and the corporations it comes from. Corporations are the only "people" that matter now.
