SS Mesh is mainly used for Genesis style atomizer wicks, however, some use it for other rebuildable applications. SS Mesh has GREAT wicking AND flavor capabilities.
Silver wire has no resistance so its mainly used as Non-Resistance Wire in Rebuildables like the GG Odysseus and GG Penelope. It works mainly for those rebuildables that have a slight distance between the +/- post and the coil itself.
No sure if piano wire would work, don't know its characteristics.

Do you have a rebuildable atomizer or are you in the learning/brainstorming phase at this point?

I'm learning and brainstorming.
No, I don't have an atty yet, but I'm going to get a Vivi Nova to go with the joyetech C Twist I'm about to order.
I started with a v2, which is what I'm currently using.
