My first device was an Njoy Ncig set. This proved fairly reliable but I decided to add to my part collection so that I would never find myself without a working unit. I purchased 2 atomizers and batteries from a different merchant who is known for quality service and products. Ok so now I have the Ncig set which is 2 hole and the new equipment which is four hole. If i try and use one of the 4 hole batteries on the 2 hole vaporizer then it works fine. If on the otherhand I try to use one of the 2 hole batteries on the 4 hole atomizer then I might as well give up. I have to suck really hard to get the battery to light up and it stays on for no more then 3 or 4 seconds before turning off. One cannot produce a suitable amount of vapor with this combination. Has anyone else run into this problem? My guess is it is do to the switch and the amount of vacuum needed to activate. If you have found this problem yourself have you run across a solution? Thank you.

Gab--your NJOY was a true 801 and a very good atomizer. (overpriced mind you). Now you have switched to a 4 hole RN4072. What is the difference. The RN4072 has a much harder draw to it then an 801. The RN4072 has a higher burn rate and cooks the e-liquid as opposed to an 801. I have used both for many months and have concluded IMO that the RN4072 is not a viable atomizer for me. It has a very high failure rate and the draw on it is way to hard to make the battery pressure switch ignite. --buy some cheap generic 801''s (price does not dictate quality with e-cig's again based on my experince) and call it a day on the RN4072---that again is my opinion from using them both for over half a year now--others may have had better results, but not me----Sun

I double checked the parts that I have. I was able to find a small stamp on the brass part of the device which appears to be 801-?? which is why I felt pretty sure I was comparing identical devices. Plus the site I ordered through had it listed as a Penstyle (DSE-801 model). Could it be some other problem?

Gab--the 801 has gone through some modifications over the last few months--If you want what you had with NJOY at a much better price, take a look here e-cigarette series great prices on the unit that will funtion just like the NJOY. They call it a BE112 which is a 2 hole 801--I am vaping one right now---Sun

True 801 generally means DSE here. I've not heard before that the Njoy pen is a true 801... mine haven't been and do not have SLB markings. They have been referenced as RN4072 around here for quite a while. More info on your comment please. Thanks!

I have an NJoy NCig, and a generic 801. The 801 has a 4 hole atomizer, the NCig has a 2 hole atomizer. The parts are interchangable.

The NCig atomizer, because it has fewer holes, is a harder draw wether its on the battery for the NCig or the 801.

I notice no difference in draw on the 801 atomizer using either battery.

Is the battery you're having trouble with fully charged? If you blow gently into the LED end, do you get airflow and does the LED light up? You might have an obstructed battery or sticky switch.

Sometimes, to slightly increase airflow using the NCig, I screw on the battery, then give it a 1/4 turn back, so it's a little loose, but not jiggly.

Jamie--Comparing an 801 to RN4072 ---the 801's positive on the atomizer is larger then the RN4072. NJOY's atomizer has the larger positive. Also the RN4072 has 4 holes under the plastic lip as opposed to the 801 2 hole--the NJOY does not have the 4 hole's. ----Sun

Thanks Sun. :) No idea what you mean by positive!

I don't think number of holes has anything to do with true 801 vs 4072... the 4072 used to have 2 holes afaik.

Jamie--look at the middle of the thread--that is the positive contact--the negative is the outside of the thread--that is way you can tell an 801 from a RN4072. Also the RN4072 has a larger diameter hole then the 801 and the NJOY has the smaller circumference---Sun

Thanks... always good to get the jargon! :)

Is there a thread here somewhere where the Njoy was determined to be an 801?

Jamie--no, that is why we had to figure it out by this process--I did call them a long time ago before I tried the RN4072 and they told me that it was an 801 and a RN4072 would not work--which was garbage as you know----Sun
