To mod my Tobh...
I unscrewed the 510 pin, stuck a micro screwdriver through the center post hole and twisted and tugged until it came out. There are two delrin insulators in mine. I pulled them out and used flush cut wire cutters and a carpenter's knife to carefully clip a 2 mm channel top to bottom through both insulators. Put it all back together and make sure the channels line up. Works like a charm and better than I thought it would!
I might be misunderstanding, I've read it mentioned before though, you're cutting channels in the positive post insulator? How does it not short?

so you don't cut all the way through the insulator? More like a groove?
The delrin is hard and durable. You cut all the way through. Here I drew a couple of crappy pics...

The owl screw hole doesn't have anywhere to go in another atty. You need a hollow positive pin with a side hole for filling draining. There is lots of discussion in those threads I linked. Slotting is the easiest. Drilling out the pin and post is harder but more durable.

Just Modded My Plume Veil to work with my Smokless Owl Squonker.

I unscrewed the bottom 510 brass screw and pulled the positive top posts out and took my Dremmel and put in a small tiny needle type grinder

on the drummel. I then stuck the needle bit into the open hole and proceeded to cut a slot in the insulator.

A big piece of the insulator came out and I thought sureas heck that I ruined it.

Much to my surprise the insulator is a 2 piece unit with the top piece coming out from the top and the bottom half comes out the bottom.

I took these 2 insulators halfs and finished the cut and reinstalled the two halves so that the slots would align up with each other.

The thing squonks great and much surprised that I could accomplish this.

I want to try my Stillaire and a few others but will enjoy this squonking Plum Veil for now.

Very pleased-----Happy Squonking to everybody-----thetrucker

Just got done working on my Stillaire and now it feeds from the bottom.

Drove out the center pin from the top by taking out the wire anchor/post screw and

inserting a small jewlers screwdriver into the post hole and striking the end of

the handle with a pair of pliers.

center post came out and I slotted both sides of the pin with my drummel

cut off wheel.

It works good now. second pic is the Stillaire bottom modified for bottom feeding. Third image is quad coil 32 guage 5 wraps
