I only use my 21700's for single mechs, so... I charge like one at a time and with the i4 it increases the amperage if there's only one battery in a bay (to 1.5amps). He asked what fits and works, the i4 checks both of those. My spiel was more for Nitecore as a brand that I've had zero issues with. For my regulated mods I don't care how slow they charge, I've got six married pairs of vtc5as and two quad married sets of vtc5as. Few singles rolling around as well.

The i4 also serves as a charger for AA and AAA batteries for.

It's .375 OR .500 amps per bay, if all bays are full, depending what the i[ntelligence] decides... 1.5amps for a single battery.

Guess if OP doesn't want to wait like I can, he can snag a higher rate charger. All depends on your use case I suppose. :firefox:

Good to see the newer batteries we are using these days have a higher optimal cell life charge rate. Mooch has a chart posted showing the rates, it's good to see the VTC5/5A/6 with a charge rate of 1.5A and he says that charging those at lower current won't give any added benefit.

I charge my 30T's, 20700A's, 26650's and Sony's all at 1A on the Xtar SV2 Rocket, really need to pick up one of the MiBoxer C4-12's.

Was just reading up on the c8, would love an 8 bay. About 45.00, little more techy than i'm used to though.

Before I found this forum one of the guys at a local vape shop sold me a D4 and assured me that although I pointed out it didn't list 2X700's on the box that it charges them. A month later when my first 21700 mod showed up I found out it doesn't. That was frustrating

Sounds like a typical B&M, sell whats in stock, not what the customer wants.

It will charge a 2x700 – you just gotta jimmy that sucka in there. Crowbar, hammer, hacksaw and some duct tape to keep it all together and you’re good to go!

The tallest cell the D4 is able to handle is a 17670 so your store was only off by 3mm.

I think that one of the most interesting Chargers currently is the Xtar SC2: XTAR,XTAR SC2,Charger,Battery,Vape,SC2,Fast Charging Series,Shenzhen XTAR Electronics Co., Ltd
It looks like the very first Charger that uses QC3.0, in order to speed up the charging current.
Here is a first review I found:
Review of Charger Xtar SC2
So if you have a QC3.0 Power-supplier you can charge 20700 and 21700 with up to 2A on both slots.
I don´t agree, that it can not support 18650. If you take a high capacity 18650 (3000 mAh and more) the 2A makes 0,66C which might be very fast, but still will match up with cell specification (normally up to 1C).
...but my next charger will be for sure the Xtar VC2S:

I like the design and I like that it can charge also Ni-Mh...have some left for remote controls, some alarm clocks etc.

Way back when I bought a GyrFalcon All-88, and it pretty much retired 6-7 of my LUC, Xtar and NiteCore chargers (I do still have an Xtar WP6 out). They also have an All-40 4 channel available.

Right. That's it.:thumb:

But as Letitia already mentioned, the Samsung 40T might be worth a look as well, if 30amps are enough for your purposes and you'd like longer runtime.
I use 30A 18650 and the reason I want to move to 21700 is for longer run time.
I think the 30T will work fine and I'm really liking the $7 price tag
