Hmmm. Maybe a variable drill with the drill bit drilled into a large 2.5 - 3 inch dowel and then measurement would be your only problem. Maybe measure out the first and count the number of revolutions of the dowel with a defining mark on it.
PS Go slow and use gloves. That stuff would cut your hand off in a hurry.
If you have a place where you could walk out 100ft and then mark the wire and then use the drill to wrap it on something.... then the only thing is you have to mark the wire each time but sounds like it could be do-able. But that is only if you have a 100ft space. You would definately get your exercise....![]()
I do have a 50' clear space in the driveway, to layout the first one. I'm thinking of dropping the spool down on a dowel or carriage bolt. Then mounting a 2x4 on another bolt w washers (so it will spin), then attach 2 small dowels 6" apart on the 2x4 that spins. This way the dowel jig gets spun 200 times and there is a package. I'm a carpenter, so I can whip this assembly up in a half hour.
My re-spool machine is in the shop for repair.![]()
