Is it still possible to get on the reserve list for the 28 gage? I can't figure out how to add my name to the google form, or if it's even still active. I have been reading back through the thread but I haven't found specifics about how to get involved yet....I do have PayPal, etc. Thanks!

hi, ben! and welcome!

you'll have to wait for kwalka's answer - he's the only one who can gauge the wire supply! ;)

Be sure to heat the wire red with a lighter a bit before wrapping so you can get it nice and tight without loosening back up. Heating it takes some of the tension out of the wire. It also helps to give the coil a few blips once in place without any wick present to 'season' it a bit before adding wick (ala Petar K method). Works well. Also be sure to pick a drill bit that is as close to the thickness of your wick as possible.

What genesis do you use the 3/32 drill bit for? Thinking I may pick up a bit for the cobra tried wrapping by hand and the wire is really stiff. Would be nice to know the bit size and not have to buy several different kinds.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah the 28 gauge is pretty thick, only tried to wrap it once by hand and will now probably wait till I pick up drill bits as another poster pointed out there are sets at Lowes for only 5 bucks.

Take your Cobra along to make sure you get something that will work the way you need it to. :)

Got my 28ga. today, thanks again Ken.I did a few different wraps to see what I thought. I didn't notice a lot of difference in vapor or flavor from the 32ga,both work really well.I did like the ease of wrapping the 28 over the 32 although the 28 takes more wraps it seems easier for me to work with.I don't use screwdrivers or drill bits,I wrap the neg. screw than stand the wick up in the device with a hat pin to hold it vertical than just wrap it 8 or nine turns than wrap it around the pos. post and tighten it down.
What I really liked about the 28ga. is how hard it is to create a short.I wasn't able to create one so I don"t know if it's even possible.

Ok all you reservists and anybody who hasn't got in on the 28 and would like to. I have a fresh pound of 28 in my possession. We also have a new order form and spreadsheet so we can distinguish between members who get 100ft and 50ft. Reservists and newcomers will get 100ft and any second timers will get 50ft. These links I'm providing here are just to get on the list. I will re-post the form to pay in a few minutes.
Oh BTW, we already added all the reservists who were on the first list to this new list. So you don't have to.

Here is the form to get on the list. This is for newcomers or anyone who would like some 30. Once I cover the reserve list of members who wanted 28, if there is any left over I will let every one know.

Here is the list to verify you are there

Here is how everyone pays. This is a 2 tier system. You must follow the instructions on the form to pay, then once you pay, you will actually fill out the form.

VERY IMPORTANT:
Your gifts are graciously accepted and appreciated. However when you send money as a gift PayPal does not provide your address. So you must fill out the form completely. No form, no wire.

Next there can be no mention of ECF or e cigs anywhere in PayPal. They will shut down my account. I know most of you know this but I still had a couple members send me a note in PayPal saying "hey this is so in so from ECF...".

Here is the form with the instructions on how to pay, and to actually fill out after you pay. PLEASE read the form before you pay. Then fill it out after you pay.

I will update the master list periodically so you can see the status on your shipments. The 30ga wire just shipped today so it will be the end of the week, at least, before I start processing that. The reserve list for 28ga will start shipping tomorrow afternoon.
