Sure. That's what the mechanical mods are basically about. Need a fantastic atty or cartomizer basically. Back ups so as soon as power weakens its best recharge then rather than waiting for it to die and the best juice to you. Sure. Kinda boring maybe but if your busy person you want to keep it simple.
To some yes, to others no...you are asking a question with no answer. How many ohms is the atty? Makes a world of a difference.

Yeah, LOL... In general the vape 'strength' relates to the power output, i.e. wattage. That is found by the simple formula volts x volts/ohms. There are limits and nuances - an ICR battery won't be able to safely sustain the power an IMR battery or the newer formulation batteries can; and, in practice, using a higher voltage to get the same power with a higher resistance (more coil wraps) might be more satisfying due to the higher coil area... To go extreme, with RBAs, you can also either use a thicker wire and more coils, or a twisted wire and more coils to achieve the same effect while obviating the need for higher voltage (thicker wire has lower resistance and more heated area - win-win - but you have to be careful not to overdrain the battery)...

Depens on the resistance of coil. If its REAL 3.8v (not regular EGO what is 3.2-3.3) then 1.8ohm coil is more than enough. 8.0W exacly.

Sure...it can be fine. Depends on what ohm your atomizer is running. I use mostly mechanical mods with 3.7 batteries. I like 2ohm single coils cartos in tanks. I'm very happy with the vape and it does well for me until the battery gets down to about 3.6 or 3.5..then I recharge it and put in another battery. I can use standard resistance 3ohm atomizers only if the battery is very freshly charged and running around 4.2 volts to about maybe 3.9 volts...then I have to either put it on a VV and crank up the volts or put a new battery in the mechanical.
Personally with my juice..anything below 1.7ohms on an unregulated 3.7v battery tends to make my juice taste too burnt and harsh. But that's just the way my particular menthol is. Everyone is different and different flavors need different wattage levels.

Depends on the ohms of your delivery system, adjust volts until you find a spot that satisfies your taste and throat hit. Normally with a 1.8 ohm I run it at 3.8 to 4.0 volts, much more than that and it starts to taste burnt.
Iv got a Provari, and with a 1.7 ohm "Resurector" carto, 3.8 is plenty. With my 18350 mod, which is supposed to be ~3.7 volts, I would need a lower carto. Partially because it doesn't maintain 3.7 under load. In fact the provari @ 3.2 volts is stronger than a freshly charged 18350 battery in my Screwdriver MKII. You have applied voltage, and voltage under load. Not necessarily the same...
I have been vaping for just under four years. I have tried just about everything under the sun. 3.7 is enough for me depending on the Atty. I rarely use anything else. although it might have a lot to do with the fact that I just don't vape much anymore.

I, too, use 2.0 ohm single coil cartos, and 3.7 gives me everything I want or need: nice throat hit, nice vapor production, good flavor. I know I could push my devices harder, but why should I? I like where I'm at now just fine.

What's the point of the question? Are you vaping at 3.8 volts? Are you satisfied? Or what?
