3 Flasshes with my eGo-W

Alright, so Ive been using my eGo-W for about a month now. I woke up this morning with the urge to use it. Had a full batery and everything! As I press the mouthpiece in between my lips and inhale, hoping for a hit of delicious Banana Colada. What do I get instead? 3 flashes and no hit. Hmmm.. This is strange. I unscrewed the cartomizer and pressed the button. Solid light when i oress the button. I already tried the 'use a paper clip to raise the pin' trick and that didn't do anything. Now when I touch the paper clip to the pin and hit the button it flashes 3 times. is it a short? do I need a new battery? Can I fix it? Help!

normally it just means that the battery isn't getting a good connection with your carto/tank. are you sure you raised the center pin high enough for good contact? I was able to fix mine with a small screwdriver and the instructions from this vid:

Ive done that! it still doesnt work. When I press the button down theres a quick flash interrupted by 3 flashes almost like it wants to work but then doesnt.

Yes, thats exactly what it does!

I think it's a short. . You could be over tightening and pushing the pin down.
Try just barely tightening the tank. If that doesn't work, I would guess the carto is shorted.

Have you tried another carto on it? It appears the one you are trying to get to work is shorted.

Yeah even barely tightening the carto down makes it flash. Is there anyway to fix a short?

Not a shorted carto - you are talking about a cartomizer here, right? Not a clearo or anything else? Cartomizers are disposable items.

most batteries have a light flash warning alert

two of them are : short circuit & low battery

have you tried to charge it... ?

(even tho you think it's fully charged)

This is what I have not sure if that helps. Came with my eGo.

And yes I charged it over night! when I woke up it just flashed 3 times.

This may seem stupid but make sure there is no juice on the battery contact.

Its the cartridge that came with the eGo. And Im positive its charged.

I had this issue with an old ego 900Mah battery very recently, the pin was shorting out on the threads/body of the housing. Using a coated paperclip solved the issue for a week or so but unfortunately, the pin ended up dropping out of the housing hanging on by the wire... (Toast).

3 flashes is the safety circuitry warning.
Try another delivery device / topper.

Had this problem with my 650 ego I started with I unscrewed the tank by a quarter turn "maybe a bit less" fixed the issue
