I've about had it with these smok cartos, I'm on my 3rd in 48hrs, I'm vaping a recipe that Boomerdude and I came up with, it has maxx blend, vanilla bourbon and bavarian cream. I am admittedly a chain vaper but bloody hell these cartos are burning up quick! I'm thinking about going with a dual coil genisis set up but they sound like there is a LOT of set up to rebuild. Clearomizers don't have the TH I like. How long do the genny type systems last between rebuilds under heavy use? Are the ceramic wicks worth the prep work?

Just curious what resistance carts are you using and at what watts/voltage? If you are pushing atomizers above their limits you can't expect them to last long.

I'm just getting into a rebuildable myself after several months of using cartotanks exclusively. These don't work right out of the box and have a fair learning curve involved. Definitely do some homework on these. The rba sub-forum here is an excellent resource if you don't mind spending the time to go through the encyclopedia-sized information. There are a lot of experts with experience that are more than willing to help you there, also.

Once you set up a nice wick and coil on your rebuildable I hear it can last a month or more. The replaceable materials are not expensive ..stainless steel mesh and wire is basically all you need besides a mini torch to oxidize wire and mesh and some way to measure resistance of your coil such as a multimeter or a VV/VW mod that has the ability to measure ohms.

Id ditch the dual coils and go with a single coil personally.much better flavor, vapor production and life. I'm a heavy vaper as well going through 1-2 6 ml tanks a day and I typically get 2 weeks off my smoktech single coils at 3ohm with 2 holes from Smoktek.com.

Im also running heavy vg juices through em with zero issues.
