I have had a 40 a day 30 year tobacco habit until just last week when my local newsagent gave me a free sample of a disposable called "Hyper Kings" Bold. Which have a 4% nicotine content.

http://i.imgur.com/gzoMF49.jpg

To my utter disbelief, it has actually had the desired effect & I have not had a real cigarette since. Now I have tried but been unable to find any reference of this company on the net which has left me a little uneasy about continuing to use this product but I feel very optimistic regarding continuing down the vaping path.

I have just tried a friends refillable Nicolite 16mg & I'm am considering going down that path but I'm unsure if this will be enough to satisfy my 40 a day habit.

Searching the net has not helped either with all these free offers everywhere & post reporting that most are fake. Also how does 4% nicotine equate into ml if at all? Aaarrrg.... it's all very very confusing....I need help...Where do I start?

Can anyone recommend a good uk brand e cig with high nicotine content? or any good genuine deals/offers to get me started on the right track?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You have come to the right place my friend and welcome! You will find lots of people with lots of suggestions and plenty of threads to seek your answers. There is a tremendous range of e-cig varieties some that look like cigs and some that bear no resemblance at all but work unbelievably well. I am sure some veterans will weigh in with a good starting setup for you. I am so wrapped in my provari with a rebuildable atomiser that I want to recommend this sort of setup to everyone but I think you will want something simpler for now. I will leave it to others to recommend a sensible setup for someone beginning their journey. All the best, and you can rest assured that the answers you seek are within this forum. It is a great place to be.

4% is 40mg/ml, or there about. That's pretty high nicotine content. I smoked a little more than you and started with 3.6% / 36mg/ml at about 5 volts. That did the trick for me. My body told me after a while that was too much and I now use about 25mg/ml. Otherwise, I'd probable vape a higher level.

24mg/ml is commonly available. Some vendors can provide higher levels.

Good luck with your venture!

I was a 60-aday smoker, and tried the usual cigarette-like products, but they were not that successful - short battery life, short cartridge life, and poor on flavour. I then bought a CE4 'Tank' system from UK site Vapouriz, and never looked back. This uses an Ego battery and a CE4 Clearomizer, which is what many people use. The starter kit is only £29.99, but you will soon need a second battery as backup (£10.99), and a wall charger (£4.99). They supply a 10ml bottle of juice to get you going, and stock an extensive range of flavours for you to experiment with. I use about 60ml of juice/month which costs just under £20.

Happy vaping.

I've been going in to a local shop that sells ecigarettes. I like it because they let you try all different flavors, so I would highly recommend that you find a local shop and visit. The other advantage to going in to the store is that they'll help you figure out how much nicotine to include. The other great thing is that you can slowly step down the nicotine if you so desire.

Welcome Steve!

I am a bit new myself, although not as new as this forum makes me look.

I can tell you that settling on a "flavor" could become the most discouraging part. Know now that you will more then likely never find a e-liquid that taste like your analogue. But that is ok...because you will never find an analogue that taste like PEACH or WATERMELON!

Kidding aside - find a local store or if that is not an option for you (as it is not for me) find a site that will sell you a "bunch" of samples.

I personally like myfreedomsmokes.com
He has a "tobacco sampler" that will get you a taste of every tobacco flavor he has. Some offer like that will help you find an all day vape flavor.

Once you have your "go-to" flavor ...then you can experiment with flavors etc.

Anything 510 (the threading) is not only extremely popular, but also compatible with eachother.

The only other real choice to make is size of battery Vs. Battery life.

I started with Blu (dont waste your money) and while it WAS effective I would drain one battery dead before the other one was done recharging.

Once I knew E-cigs WERE for me ........ I went and bought an eVic. Its big, and I can still kill the battery in a day, but it is perfect for me.

Hope some of that helps!

welcome and good luck!

Welcome to the most information site your brain can hold.
I was a 60+a day for around 45 years. I started with 24mg and did ok. Yea I chain vaped till I got sick but after a week or so I found what I needed to do to survive. ONE important thing to remember is to drink water and listen to your body. It will tell you when to slow down on vaping. Good luck and best wishes.

The Twist works with 510 threaded juice delivery devices, including your 510 cartomizers. They also work with eGo threaded devices. Between the two you have a nearly unlimited choice in juice delivery devices.

The Twists are variable voltage. That means you can simply dial in the amount of power that produces the vape you prefer by simply twisting a knob. More power produces more throat hit and vapor while lower power generally produces better flavor.

Welcome to the forum, you are going to find plenty of informative people on this site that will guide you with all the answers and advice you could need, at first it all seems quite strange but once you understand how e-cigs work and the over elaborate terminology used then it will all be quite striaght forward. Outside of these forums, google and youtube are your best friends to learn more.

Almost same thing with me went to gas station to buy carton of silver 100's ( that the wife and I were going through every 3 to 4 days) (20 to 28 packs per week) the casher said would you like a disposable e-cig for 10 cents? for 10 cents I'd watch a monkey,,,,, -- fast forward-- Super Bowl Sunday ended up staying home--- (picture this) the 10 cent E-cig laying on the kitchen counter, lets try this, Well this is not to bad,- puff a little more- puff a little more. (Reaearch, Reaearch,Reaearch) -- Ordered the couples kit from V2cigs on the 3rd of Febuary-- recieved on the 6th about 1330 (1:30pm). Pluged it in turned it on-- I have not had a real cigarette since Febuary the 6th at 2:30pm, I Can say that once more, ( the wife mabie 4). Now this is day 12 the mouth and body are starting to relax some what, day 6 started cleaning the house. I should have found this site before I jumped on the V2cigs, but they are what the doctor orded to stop smoking. There is a vast amount of good info and good people on this site to digest.
Good luck buddie!!

Does the Ego Twist work with 510 Carts?

yes "ego" threading is a 510 top part with a outside threading for skirted devices. mostly egos are the cheapest and most versitile divice on the market. there are many clones and and in my experiences some clones are better(if your talking about egos, not high end stuff)

I smoked a pack and a half to two packs of cigarettes a day for about 35 years but now I haven't had even a puff in 10 months.

I went about it a little differently, though. I used nicotine patches at first and while on the high-strength ones I would only use a disposable e-cig in the morning, on my way to work, before the fresh patch would kick in (I took the patches off at night to avoid the wild dreams).

When I switched to the mid-strength patches I would also take a few puffs off the disposable e-cig whenever I'd get a strong craving, usually when I was around smokers.

I never finished the low-strength patches because they didn't seem to do anything, and that's when I really started to get into vaping more. I'm still using 24mg juices but I don't vape anywhere near as often as I smoked.

Im was in your place a little over 2 years ago and discovered ecigs. Ordered a set ego set up from Libert Flight and have been smoke free since. As others have recommended seek a local vape shop if available to you. If not many great online vendors and wonderful information here. I would recommend Liberty Flight UK For descent pricing and good starter packages.

Agreed on the CE4 clearos with the eGo. That is what is doing the trick for me right now.

Got some Kangers coming. We'll see if those puppies hold up to all the hype.

Hope so.

VAPE ON!!
