What about using a static resistance between ADJ and GND, and trimming between Vout and ADJ?
I used two 14500 in parallel... they are the lame protected ultrafire batts... with only 1 in the circuit I get about 1 second before it cuts out... with both in there is no cut out. I'm sure with aw imr I could use a single cell with no problem but why not 2 for the extra mah.
I have been contacted by two other members about a Single 14500 Ultrafire, 900mah, 3.6v not working with the 04050c. They switched to the Trustfire 900mah, 3.7v and it worked fine.
Has any one else had a similar problem with the 14500 Ultrafires. Sounds like the same experience that Chris had.
I tried it with an UltraFire 18350, 1200mah marked as 3.7v not 3.6v and it works good.
They are the gray ones mad vapes carries.I have built four of these now and the last two have aluminum type caps I think those are working better than the tantalum type but that could just be me.
I tend to think the Larger Aluminum work better too. The last several have the aluminum's.
I never used the 14500 and 900mah, so I didn't know what to expect. The smallest battery I used prior was 18350, 1200mah and they were two in series.
So is this mounted on a pcb? If so, do you have a drawing of how you would mount everything?
Where did you find 18350, 1200mah batteries?
