Where did you find 18350, 1200mah batteries?

If you would like to keep it small (9v batt box). Go with an AW IMR 18490, 1100mah and or AW IR 18500, 1500mah like shown here: .44++ (Plus Plus) mini Boost

Dear Lord, I have to have one of these...
PS- I dont mod, but I'm curious about the touch buttons, how common is accidental discharge when riding around in a pocket or whatever?

The touch switch is safe in your pocket unless your pocket is wet or very damp.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/178144-44-mini-booster-box-mod-12.html Link to breaktrus .44 mini if your up for a good read. The good schematic showing the touch ckt is on page 12. , just thought you may enjoy this if you havnt already stumbled upon it.

For better performance go with the .44 Plus-Plus mini boost. The box is the same size only a bit deeper. It's a 9v battery box and you can use AW IC18500 or AW IMR18490 batteries. Better batteries than the 14500 batts. It's posted in this forum but for some reason the thread is closed ??? .44 Plus-Plus

Yea much nicer battery will last maybe two days on a IMR 18490. Any suggestions where to find the 9v box? I searched two places so far, no luck. Im also going to make one in a wooden enclosure. Also curious what you used on the 44 casing as a center conductor and insulator? Thanks for posting that info on the .44, you spent a lot of time on that.

You can probably find them cheaper but w/ free shipping it maybe a better deal:
9v battery boxes

I used solid copper wire. 12 or 14ga. The insulator is the outside insulation jacket of the wire.

Breaktru,
What did you use for a center conductor and insulator on the .44 casing? I also understand that you tapped the casing so you could install a nut onto it? Also wondering where you get your 9 volt boxes, I have checked two places so far no luck. Great thread thanks for sharing the info.

Look at the post above yours #147. 12-14ga solid wire for center post.
I drilled and tapped the casing primer pocket and threaded it onto a 1/4x40 nipple. Some times I also drill and tap the box and sometimes I use a nut on the inside of the box.

I started out with free samples from TI.com but now buy from a Distributor.
Here is a list of Distributors. The cheapest place is Arrow Electronics. You have to create an account. The shipping is outrageously high so check out these other distributors.

I have to ask breaktru. What did you do to the 9v box to make the 18490 to fit the box and close completely? It is not a completely 18mm inside clearance. It seems to be off by about .5mm. Did you shave out a section of the box to accommodate the width of the battery? The reason I ask is because I was going to use the 9v with an 18490 matched with a DNA circuit.
