510 Cartomizer vs. 808 Cartomizer

First post for me. vaping 15 days now. Love it! Already found out about Boba's Bounty and Bluemist DK Tobacco Type juices....my favorite all day vapes. My brother Evilgrin, an adonis wise beyond his years, got me into vaping. If I ever become rich, I plan to buy a 55 gallon drum of Boba's in return for the info he has provided me on vaping.

We are both using 808 cartos from both Bloog and Ikenvape. My question is......is the 501 carto better or worse in any way than the 808? The majority of vapers using cartos seem to be using 501, at least as far as I can tell. Is it that the 808 is new technology or something?

I think it is just because 510's are the standard for many more devices. The 510 starter kit is a very popular starter. The eGo and Riva are extremely popular. And most of the mods are 510 as the standard- some offer options of switching it to 808, and others simply sell adapters to switch to 808.

Actually 510 cartos are fairly new to the scene,we used to argue about cartos(808)vs attys(510).Then they came out with 510 cartos so I guess we all know now what was better,LOL!!Its all a matter of preference.Both are good.

I use both when Im not using an atty, the bloog maxx fusion 808 cartos are really nice, other than those I like the boge low res cartos.

Some 510 people who use KR808D-1 cartos do so because they want prefilled cartos.
510 - few prefilled cartos, and they are poorly stocked
KR8 - lots of prefilled cartos (Bloog and Vapor4Life)

And I think the KR8 itself is slightly higher voltage than 510 and Ego - a full 3.7 volts so with the same carto it will run a bit hotter. I think Riva may be the same voltage as KR8. Note - KR808D-1 and Vapor4Life batteries are the 3.7 voltage, I believe Bloog is lower.

I vape both KR8 w/ Vapor4Life cartos and 510 w/ Boge and SLB blank cartos, and the KR8 makes warmer vapor and more TH.

One Vapor4Life juice I love has too much TH on the V4L so I am actually vaping a V4L juice in the 510 carto and a Backwoods Brew juice in the V4L carto.

For many vaping "vets" 801 type cartos and attys trump both 510 and 808 cartos. But I would pick the 808 over the 510. Thank goodness they make adapters.

It really just depends on what your vaping and what you want
there are now a ton of 510 cartomizers out right now
boge, boge lr, ce2r4, joye cartomizers, clearo-fluxo-whatevero-mizers, ikenvapes 510 cartomizers, dual coil 510 cartomizers, the map tank is basically an oversized cartomizer....
