What are some suggestions on good 510 cartomizers? I am only interested in empties. I've done a few searches and the only real comparison I found was BOGE vs SLB and BOGE was preferred. What about the Joye 510 cartomizers?

Also, I read through a bunch of posts regarding refill methods for cartimizers but a lot of them were outdated and I had a hard time figuring out the pros/cons of each method. From what I've gathered the condom method is the easiest and most effective.

to wrap up:

What are your opinions on all the different emtpy 510 cartomizers?

What are your opinons on all the different refill methods for 510 cartomizers?

Thanks and happy vaping!!

Maybe somone can refer me to a comprehensive and thorough comparison of all the 510 cartomizers and refill methods?

I do not know that one exists. Like a lot of what we do... much of it is opinion. I don't mind using a syringe, others do not mind the mess of condom filling. I don't like the KR808 cartomizers- others swear by them.

Pick your poison- and vape to nirvana :)

I got the 510 carts from Vaporsect. and these things are great. They have a different type of filling than what I have seen in the others I have refilled. Please try them out, and you will be surprised.

The condom method works best with hard tipped cartos. If you prefer the soft-tipped 510s, as I do, the tip tends to fall off when you use the condom. On the other hand, it's much easier to drip the liquid onto the filler if the top isn't blocking the way (and your view.)

The Taryn spin works with every method (remember to put the plug and condom on the battery end before spinning.) I usually spin my cartos several times when I first fill them up. That way I know they are nice and wet and the center sock is as well. After that, I add a few drops frequently so I don't bother spinning again.

I wouldn't mind using a syringe at home but I am NOT whipping out a needle and syringe on a New York City street corner. So I'm not interested in the new ceramics. I've been happy with the Boge so I haven't bothered to try the SLB. If you can't decide, buy a pack or two of each. They are inexpensive, disposable items. You'll need to buy more in a few months so you can buy only the winner then.

Theres a monster link to the new E2 ceramic cup cartomizer, it is pretty easy to locate here in ECF.

This was my first impression, I received these and hadn't used them for 24 hours yet.

I'm fairly sure these are e2 v2 of these cartomizers, as that is what is stated on the info card included. They do have the ceramic atomizer. I did not use any mods that I have read about, and viewed on u-tube, I used them stock as they came.

These have a new learning curve that wasn't quite as user friendly as most cartomizers that I've used.

Remove the mouth piece, and the second ring/seal, the third is the final seal is supposed to be left in and it has 2 holes by which it is filled. Place the provided soft tip needle in either of these holes and fill. The overflow will come out at the atomizer in the center. Replace the removed parts and it is done. After I figured it out the first time, it was much easier after. Good lighting is a must as the 2 holes are small.

I received 2 of each XL/standard short.

Long XL 510 e2 v2, Tested with a Buzz at 3.7v up to 4.5v with 90/10
Just shy of 2 ml capacity. The long is the better of the two for the obvious reasons, more is better. But also it wicks faster, tastes true never burnt. Although it does have a slight dry taste, but I think that is due to an easier draw. The draw is pretty easy, maybe a touch to easy. Good juice longevity, nice construction. Tastes as good as dripping, maybe better due to consistency.

Standard Short 510 e2 v2, Tested with a Buzz at 3.7v with 80/20
Just shy of a 1ml, 2/3 the length of the XL, very close the the length of a 510 atty and drip tip, just a little shorter. Vapes very nice but seems to wick a little slow, can get a burnt hot taste if vaped heavily. I tried tipping it up side down to try and help it, with out modding it seems to run short of juice. The draw is quite a bit harder than the XL, it seems a bit stiff. Every bit as good as dripping, more consistent when its wicking well. A little hard to tell if its dry or not wet, a little annoying in that regard. The juice lasted about 4 hours.

FYI: Drip tip fits, and it can be dripped.

I will be looking for more of these, they are good. Apparently there is a v4 coming very soon and if it is better than these for wicking and rate of draw, the only real complaints that I have, these are going to be a treat to use.

This is my 6th day using these cartomizers, both of the XL's are still working fine.

I've used the XL almost exclusively.
The shorty needs to be PTB modded as near as I can tell, I haven't gone there yet.

Pros:
it works well if you pull all of the seals and clean it and fill it per each fill.
I rinse it in hot water, burn it off, and refill it.
It cleans up nice and keeps on working.
Works well at many voltage settings, mostly I like the 4.5v range.
Has about 4 hours vaping capacity (for me).
Can be dripped, best if its full, so, its your call.

Cons:
It could be easier to remove the third seal for filling, and cleaning.
the vapor slowly fades as it gets dirty.
The atomizer does fill up with gunk almost every fill, this slows it down a lot.
Doesn't work well for dripping exclusively, I tried this on a day trip when it went dry.
They do have a minor wet type leak at the inner seals, but its not at all annoying for me.

FYI:
The juice that is left in it (5-7 drops), when it goes dry is very dark in color, has a burnt, gunky look.

So far I'm using the XL's consistently for all around no hassle vaping, that can be punched up with a drip if needed.

I've also used the Joyetech cartomizers Cozz has reveiwed, other than the plastic atomizer cup, these do work well.

I swore by cartomizers. Great for when your on the go, holds plenty of juice, massive vapor but... after a week and a half or so topping off, certain juices can sour and yuk. I was actual becoming nauseated by my wild cherry flavoring. Can't wash them out like a cartridge. There cheap enough I guess to dump and replace with a new one though.

I just got my first example of the EC2 cartomizers...

Once I get a handle on them I'll post a review on them.

Nice to see you bro!

I don't really want to mess with cleaning and from what I've researched it sounds like cartomizers are what I prefer. I haven't tried cartos but I dont really see an advantage to them except they're cheaper (not by much)

Cartos ARE cartomizers. Everyone makes that mistake :)

Make sure you try both cartos and carts.. They are different animals, with different temperatures, tastes, and costs.

Whoops! typo :) Thanks for the advise. I will try some carts. I wasn't aware they were that different. I thought they were just cheaper but less convenient.
