Well, I think I may have spoke too soon on these 510 PTs. Seems some of mine have died, and yes, there was a burnt electrical smell in one, although I did not open it up fully. The others may have batts that are not fully charging anymore. They read 3.2 to 3.5 V, but I don't know how to check for other electrical issues with them.
Question: do the 10440's need to be protected? I can't tell whether the ones that came with them are, but my guess is they are not. Maybe this is the problem with leaving them plugged in. Does the PT itself have protection circuitry?
Starting to eye the Bartleby. I need something reliable and long-lived. Can't afford or want something as large as the PS or a Chuck.
