Got my 510 pt yesterday and am loving it:) Lovin the vapor and the vg mix is easier to suck than the stock batty! The question I have is the thread don't meet the attys thread base. Everything is working fine except the contact point. I've read the troubleshooting page about making the center contact lower, but I was afraid to try it since the 510 is a bit different? If the procedure is the same, can I avoid taking the brass ring out and just tap it to move the center contact lower?

Is the atomzier working? We lengthened the center post so the 2 different types of 510's would work. Our old style brass actually met the brass on the atomizer, but to allow for both types, we had to lengthen it. That looks about right for the new ones.

Assuming it works -- you're all set.

Just a note on this. My 510 atty's all do the same thing(about a 1-2mm seperation). Resist the urge to try to tighten the atty down to get the gap as small as possible(hand tighten only until the unit works).

REASON: If you continually tighten to try to close the gap you'll slowly push the center post of the atty in. When and if you then try to use the same atty on a regular Joye battery, it may not work(the center post will no longer make contact with the batteries center post since the atty post has been pushed in). I did this(tightened continually to close the PT gap) with one atty and it now no longer works on my Joye batteries unless I tighten the atty on the battery so hard, I can almost not unscrew it.

If your never planning on going back to underpowered Joye batteries in the future, disregard this post.
