So my girlfriend and I wer strolling through the mall Saturday night and We saw a kiosk that sold E-cigs. I had to go check it out because ive heard what a ripoff they are.I walked up and the guy selling the stuff couldnt care less that he had potential customers.I got his attention to ask him how much the ejuice was.He told me 60 bucks for 15ml!!! I told him 15ml normally goes for around 10 bucks. Then he told me "Yea but this is equal to 4 cartons of cigarettes!" Well needless to say I was offended by the price and told him 15ml might get me half way through a month and walked away.I couldnt believe that guy.

Well lastnight i was talking to my girlfriend and asked her if she could remember the name of the kiosk so i can look to see if there was website. She remembered the name was global smoke.Well i got online and looked it up and sure enough there it was.....globalsmoke.com. I looked through there site and saw alot of marked up prices. $45 for 15ml $155 for a ego kit....but this isnt what caught my attention....The ego kits they sell are branded....Not with globalsmoke's name but TASTY VAPOR!!!!!!! They sell Tasty Vapor's stuff and mark it WaaaaaY up! As ive seen on Tasty vapor's site its around $10 for 15ml and $55 for a ego kit. Im not sure if TV knows of this and i cant say the owner would be very happy to see this.As of what i know of TV they try to supply vapers with good prices and work to hard to have his compay's name spoiled by sum dude that is reselling his stuff.

If anyone knows the owner (Geoff i think his name is) let him know of this and stay away from globalsmoke.com!!!!!!

Perhaps you can send them an email on through their customer care?

Anyway, I wouldn't be too hard on the guy at the kiosk. He probably doesn't vape, just looking for a little bit of summer cash. They probably put him through a week of training where they told him whatever fallacies they want people to believe, and he was probably none the wiser.

The real chumps here is whoever set up this company in the first place. The guys at the bottom are just pawns.

Yea I wasnt too hard on the kid. I could tell he didnt know anything about the product.Even my girlfriend said..."he didnt even know what ejuice was."....lol. My anger is solely with the owner and his or her price gouging.

equal to 4 cartons, yeah I remember that line when I bought my overpriced mall items lol
Our mall carries the china items, which I paid more than double the price listed on the suppliers online website store.. Juices are pretty good though, but here they are $25 for a 5ml bottle which is the only size they carry at our mall..

Customers service here could be improved too but like someone else said they are the trained for a week clerks with no clue of what they are doing let alone selling..

I was amazed at how many people however purchased kits and prefilled carts from them though..everytime I go to the mall, they have customers who are buying even at those high prices..

Yeah, it really amazes me how careless people are with their money. If someone expects me to spend $200 on a kit, you better believe I'm going to go home and research it first. Times are tough, and $200 is nothing to sneeze at for most people.

I'd never buy anything worth more than 10 bucks without researching it. Because the internet being what it is, there is always someone out there who's bought what you're looking at and can tell you how they liked it. And the result?

I can't remember the last time I bought anything I was disappointed with.

I don't get why people don't do that more. Most of us have internet now, so it's not like it costs you anything. If you were ok not having whatever it is 5 minutes ago, you're not going to die if you don't get it NOW.

And yet, people keep getting had by these mall kits, infomercials, etc. I don't get it. The internet has the answer! Go forth and Google!

MistressNomad, it's not always about people being careless or not doing their research. Sometimes when one finally decides 'I need to stop smoking now', they really do need to do it right there and than or they never will.. HOw often have people failed at goals by putting them off till so and so time afterall..

Personally I knew I was going to be overpaying, probably didn't know that it would be by that much but I have no regrets whatsoever. The day I said enough is enough I'm not buying another pack of cigarettes, I needed that readily available overpriced mall kit or I would of gone and bought another pack of cigarettes and still be smoking analogs regularly today.. So sometimes people DO have their reasons for doing what they do, and it has nothing to do with them being careless and so forth...

I suppose that's true. Maybe it depends on your personality.

When I first came here, I wasn't *that* concerned with quitting. I was more concerned with smoking indoors, and maybe saving a bit of money.

But as I've embarked on my usual journey of intense research, I've gotten more and more pumped up that "Yeah, maybe I CAN quit, maybe this is how I can do it. I'm gunna do it."

So for me, waiting had the reverse effect. Although I suppose it helps that I smoke rollies and rolling tobacco comes higher quantities, so I don't have to buy tobacco as often as if I smoked tailor-made cigarettes. I'm hoping I'll get all my stuff before I finish this pouch of tobacco. Because I'm not going to buy another.

But I can quite easily see how someone could be the opposite, especially if they're buying smokes on a daily basis, rather than twice a month like I do.

I suppose I was just thinking about everything else people buy on impulse - fad diet pills, silly gizmos, etc.

But of course, when you add a painful addiction to the mix, it's a whole nother issue.

Silly gizmos lol, I'd have to side with you on that one but, can't say I haven't fell for some of them darn silly gizmos myself in the past :) We all have our weak moments I suppose lol

There are definetely opposites, some are like you and others are like me.. Your way is smarter that is for sure and I'm actually usually like you when it comes to buying things like electronics and big ticket items but, there are times when I find the need to not be smart and just go for it :)

Convenient or not, ripping people off and doling out completely false information SUCKS for the industry at large. I make it a point to stop by each and every mall kiosk I see to fully school the employee(s) and slap them into shape with a veritable crapstorm of accurate information. I feel very strongly about this subject, pardon my crassness. ;-)

Syndicating nonsense is one thing, but reselling another reputable vendor's BRANDED hardware at 3x the price is downright infuriating. Pure vomit.

even though i would never buy my supplies at a mall kiosk i'm fully aware of the extremely high rents those vendors pay. some of the spots in better malls can run into the thousands. that money has to come from somewhere!!!!
at least, it helps to get exposure for the ecigs and advance them toward mainstream.
untrained personnel is also nothing new, we run into the same problem in plenty of stores everyday. the main point is, if you can break away from smoking, it doesn't matter how you did it.

....The ego kits they sell are branded....Not with globalsmoke's name but TASTY VAPOR!!!!!!! They sell Tasty Vapor's stuff and mark it WaaaaaY up!

I'm at Global Smoke, Wholesale electronic cigarettes and I see kits that they are calling "Tasty Vapor" kits. I do not see TV branding on any of their product. See attached. Also, I don't see anything that looks like an eGo kit.

Consumers, arm yourselves with knowledge. In this age, if I get ripped off, it's my own dang fault.

Wow wow wow
I do not know how this company can be in business, regardless of service, product line...how does one charge $45 for a battery, $155 for a kit and $45 for 30ml of product...that is insane! I know ecf people know better, but I really feel for people that haven't found this site, done their research or walked away from these mall kiosks or price gouging websites.

The difference between internet retail and brick and mortar retail is always amazing... it's not just e-smokes.

I'm an IT guy, and occasionally I need something "right freaking now"- I pay 20% to 100% more for what I need if I have to go to local stores. Online has always been the way to go.

Happily.. I don't think I've seen he inside of a mall in 10 months. Malls are only good if you need to be *seen* buying something.

I'm just not that visually impressive ;)

Check their FAQ Out:

What is dripping, and how do I do it ?

Check out this post on the elctronic-cigarette-forum:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/66848-guide-direct-dripping.html

Where can I learn more about e-cigarettes?
There is a very active community of people concerned about all things e-cigarettes, including reviews of e-cigarette products/suppliers, e-liquid use and reviews, how-to videos, safety and regulatory issues, pretty much anything you might be curious about.

Check out these links: ............com, e-cigarette-forum.com, vapeatron.com, or vaportalk.com

I believe the reason why their e-cigs/juice are marked up so much is because their overhead is much higher than a single online store. Having to pay for a kiosk at the mall surely requires you mark your prices up if you want to stay in business... biz 101 really.... i guess you can call it a ripoff but I'm sure they're making the same profit anyone else is. Profit is of course the net income after paying overhead.

WELL At least they point people here lol
