today marks five years for me not smoking, July 11 2013 was the day I did not light up for what became five years to date of not being chained to a pack of cigarettes...it all started with a Volcano inferno battery (Ego) and a T3s clearomiser. I had no intentions of giving up the smokes after many failed attempts, and had resigned myself to whatever outcome would be from my continued addiction to smoking cigarettes.

I tried vaping, and thought, you know, this just might work for me, so I went all in on the deal. I was a heavy smoker, 2.5 PAD and am still a pretty heavy vaper, but something happened along the way...I could breath again! In my youth I was an avid cyclist and slowly smoking took this activity away from me...35 years of heavy smoking took a heavy toll on my body, but I must say, five years on the vape and away from the smoke has allowed my body to do some miraculous healing, I got into cycling again, and can ride for many miles now, when just a
few years ago a long flight of stairs was a hurdle...

i cannot say enough thanks to ECF and all those who blazed the path, shared info, and inspired others along the way,for my success in continuing along my own personal journey away from combustible tobacco. If I can do this, you reading this can too, just dig in deep, believe that it can happen, and enjoy the vape, the rest will take care of itself.

All the best to all o' y'all.

Thank you, I realize often that I was, am, one of the lucky folks that vaping just worked right off the bat at helping me stop smoking. Not saying it was easy, but the transition was different than previous quit attempts, I guess it was due to the mindset I took on that I really wasn't "quitting", per say, just choosing to do things differently from then on...I sincerely wish it was as easy for everyone who tries vaping to move away from the smokes.
