Refilling cartos is a hassle, though I intend to get an Ego or Ego-T at some point to save money/time/etc. And the V4L cartomizers I sold seem (thus far) to be holding up better than the cig2o ones... but is there anything I can do to avoid burning out the cig2o ones so quickly? It seems like (as someone who was less than a PAD smoker, about 4 packs of 100s a week) they die in much less than a day. I'll have to occasionally buy the overpriced, terrible cig2o carties, more likely than not, so I'm curious if anyone has suggestions.

Prefilled cartos just don't hold that much juice. Most companies lie about how long they last. Maybe if you took teeny tiny puffs they'd last as long as they say. You do go through the prefilled cartos like crazy. They're easy but don't last long.

If you don't want to fill cartos, your next pv try an echo. Huge battery and huge cartomizer. I think it holds around 3 1/2 ml of juice. There's an echo-e out too and the carto holds around 2 1/2 ml of juice (I'm using one now and it's great!)

There are also new dual coil cartos out for the ego that hold 5 ml of juice. I haven't tried them yet. Won't be filling that real soon!

Bill in the Suppliers forum is selling them. They fit on the ego. Just got them today and I think I'm in love. I have the dual coils on order from MadVapes. I tried the other dual coils and like them but can't wait for the bigger ones.

The best part of the echo-e carts is that supposedly you can clean and refill them 100x. I think that's what I read.

I'll find you the link.

You add juice to the carto to keep it damp. If they arrive poorly filled then you can add some juice before you use at all. And use suitable juices. I find juices with 20% or less VG wick well in cartos and keep the carto working well through continued reuse longer than thicker juices. I also try to find clear juices that leave no flavoring sediment.

Note - I recommend manual KR808D-1 batteries since they are harder to hurt with leaks.

Swedishfish: is your Echo a 510 or an 808, manual or auto and where did you get it?

That was my first kit over a year ago and I blew through ten cartos very quickly. As far as I know there's not much you can do. I don't think they protect the coil from the batting very well and they singe too easy. You might try some of the boge as they seem to get good reviews.

Well, I still have about 8 cartomizers left for my Cig2O (6 V4L, 2 Cig2O), but I've gotten around to buying an Ego-T Type B from Cignot.
So let's see.

So far:

-Cig2O Kit (incl. 6 cartomizers tobacco 18mg): $110 (after arguing the proprietor down, was in a bit of a hurry because I was going to be on a trip where I would be unable to smoke for 8 hours the next day).
-Cig2O replacement 5 pack (Red 24mg): $20 (After arguing the proprietor down).
-10 V4L Camel 24mg cartomizers ($27, incl. shipping, if I'd ordered more the shipping cost would go down rapidly). == $157

Ego-T:

-Kit (including a bunch of 18mg marlboro carts and two batteries, one 650, one 1100): $83
-Liquid: 38.5ml (18.5ml of 26mg "Tobacco #2, 20ml of Desert Sky 26mg): $21.00
-Free shipping

Coming out to $104. Before even trying the thing, this sounds a whole lot more cost effective, even with the double-initial-expenditure. And hell, i suppose having a 'spare' set of KR808s isn't the worst thing in the world, right?
