Some little things i took note of when building it. I didn't want to make any mistakes. I only had enough parts to build one. My local radio shack only had only one set of parts in stock & i live in a tiny little fishing town. I ordered 10 more parts of each. I'm going to give them away to people for free around town. Hopefully i can drum some business.
1. Drill holes by hand with a paid of sharp tip scissors. I take the sharpest of the two blades and make a notch where i want the hole. Then i twist the box back and forth 360 style until the blade barely pokes
thru the other side. It's cheap plastic. Takes only a minute. Then i close the scissors, insert both blades into the hole and begin twisting. This is preferable because i can drill out the exact size hole i need.
2. When securing your battery connector, use epoxy & a toothpick. Add a thin layer around the inside where the connector sits firmly against the plastic. Wait a couple of hours, then add another layer. Repeat until your satisfied the connector is secure & locked in.
3. Don't twist the button too hard when fastening it to the box. I had a square momentary and the body of the button broke in half. I twisted too tight.
4. When digging the connector out of my 901 battery i had to take a pair of heavy duty needle nose pliers & peel back the battery tube back centimeter by centimeter until i got to the bottom. Like peeling a banana. Luckily i managed to pull the connector out with the wires still perfectly attached. All i had to do was solder the connector wires to the button.
