Hey, everybody. I missed a lot again. :(

I'm swimming in juice again. LOL Gotta clear out some bottles so I have room to order some of the new flavors.

I have a quartz kit (by Rainbow Heaven) for my kayfun Lite +. I haven't had any problems with the o-rings holding the glass securely. What is a pain is that I can't fit an 18ga needle in the fill hole so have to do a top fill. Won't be an issue for the 3.1 model. It also really diminishes the capacity because of the thickness of the glass. I didn't measure, but I'm guessing I only fit about 2.6ml in it. I think I'm just going to get a nano m-tank since I already have the short chimney.. Those have 3.5ml capacity.

I keep debating on the quartz kit, but it's the top fill thing that is stopping me. The one at Kidney Puncher would fit my KFL+, and the price is right. Do you have problems with it leaking when you top fill? The tank size doesn't bother me, I have juice ADD, so the amount it holds would be plenty.

No leaking issues. I cover the airflow hole with my finger when top filling. I fill with juice past a couple of the top threads. Screw on the top just until it catches the threads. Then flip it over and uncover the airflow before screwing it together tight. That method has worked fine. It's just kinda a pain to do because I only have one good hand.

I love the physical size of the Kayfun nano.

Hey Dino,
I think I found some good, low-cost replacement screws for the deck on your Kayfun. These babies. They're socket head cap screws, so you need an allen wrench or nut driver, but these type of screws are nice and flat on the bottom of the head which makes wrapping the wire around them a bit easier. FYI, it seems most Kayfuns and clones use M1.6 screws; yours uses M2.0 screws. Not that that matters - it's just good to know for replacement purposes. I ordered a Kayfun screw kit from FT and the screws fell right into the holes!

OK I am excited again. My aerotank is supposed to be out for delivery. My first ft order is also out for delivery so means my taifun gs will be here today too. Both are firsts for me. never had a rebuildable before. I don't like large tanks either, just too many flavors for me to be stuck with one for any length of time during the day.

can you tell me more about the KFL 3.1 clone you sell ? ... is it an ehpro or hcigar or would you rather not say ? ... I like an airy draw and I normally vape vg heavy juices, at least 50-60% vg, usually more ... I have read some clones won't wick vg heavy juices very well, so how does this one perform with thicker juice ?

a friend may lend me an original KFL Lite + for a week or so to try ... so I'll have yours to compare to the original if I pull the trigger here ... flavor is my biggest issue, the taste has to be as good, or close to it, as the (too) expensive original model ... I'm hoping it will, what did you think ? ... I see you posted that you eliminated the tank from your clone for a more intense flavor hit, how is that working ? as far as re-filling and do you get at least couple ml in that inter cone ?

I won't have any problems building a coil, I'll use 28 ga Kanthal and cotton ... nor do I care about sloppy threads ... I'm only concerned about the functionality and possibly shallow juice channels or having to drill larger air holes

for your asking price I really shouldn't be on the fence about it all  thank you for even offering it and the detailed build pictures, your personal testing and review, very few do all that

comments from any users of this particular clone model would be appreciated

regards

bbb
I have two of the Kayfun 3.1s that Dino sells. They are of very good quality. All of the threads are coarse, while from what I can see most other clones have fine threads. I actually like this because it is MUCH easier to cross thread fine threads than coarse. It's just something you need to know before you order parts for it. Dino says he's looking into getting parts for it though.

The deck screws are slotted heads, which are a bit of a pain, but see the post I just made ^^^^.

Regarding VG, I've vaped Boba's and Gorilla Juice in mine with no problems at all, and those juices are like molasses. Amazing flavor compared to the Kanger tanks I was used to, even with the rebuilt, cotton-wicked heads I use in them (the Kangers).

I appreciate the info from both you and Dino

btw, how is the draw on these, tight, airy, middling ? ... improved flavor and airy draw are my 2 most important needs

I've been vaping over 4 yrs now so I've been disappointed before  but thanks again to Dino for offering us this option :thumb:

I might wait to see if Dino gets the thread compatible smaller tank section, as I like a smaller juice capacity

cheers gents

It's adjustable on the 3.1. I found it to be too airy for me when the screw was backed all the way out - probably good for lung hits. I've heard you can remove the adjustment screw altogether and get even more airflow, but I haven't tried that. I like mine with the screw backed out just a couple turns from being all the way in for a nice, tight draw. I like mouth to lungs hits though.

All thats left is the robbing! Now that I know you carry Itaste MVP kits, and seeing that it is my dream item and I have wanted one for months, it is so hard to not rob you! :)
I hope you're entering the contest three times a day so you can win one! (MVP2)
I had two of them. One standard blue titanium and one "Energy Edition - Frost". The awesome Frost one was stolen. I still have the matching tank, but that tank was garbage from the start anyway.

Tell you what Ducky, if I win the MVP in the contest, it's yours. You seem like a real sweetheart, so you deserve it, and I don't need two of them anymore. :)

Thanks Loomeye, I will be sure to order some. Do you know what size allen works with them? Might sell the allen tool as well.

You have any pic's

This was not my idea, but I copied it with a coat hanger. Other one has a bolt and two nuts to secure the wire. I bent the hanger around the screw and used a rubber stopper on the other side to secure the kanthal instead. In prototype phase but works well.
