Hey Dino, do know of a place to get replacement tanks (different colors maybe) and/or 510 drip tip adapters for the kayfun 3.1 you sell? I ordered both parts from FT, but the threads are different. In both cases the threads on the kayfun were coarse and the those on the parts I received were fine. No fit. Apparently these clones are different than the ones they sell on FT.
Thanks!

Do these threads look coarse to you? I don't think they are fine threads. Trying to talk tech with a sales person sucks. clear ring.jpg

This was not my idea, but I copied it with a coat hanger. Other one has a bolt and two nuts to secure the wire. I bent the hanger around the screw and used a rubber stopper on the other side to secure the kanthal instead. In prototype phase but works well.

ThanksCurlyxCracker I will play around with it and see how it works

Yeah I bet it sucks, lol. I don't envy you. I'm remembering when I worked in a bike shop part time a few years back, and I'd have to try describing parts over the phone to someone who is only looking at books full of part numbers. What a nightmare.

I'm pretty sure those threads are actually fine. Tomorrow when I rebuild one of my Kayfuns, I'll set the plastic tank section next to the blue one I got from FT (with fine threads) and snap a picture for comparo.

I'll take my calipers (and a magnifying glass, lol) and try to measure the threads too. Metric threads are called out by the distance between one peak in the thread to the next (as opposed inch threads which are called out in threads per inch).

Maybe I'll get some time to do a little research myself this weekend. If parts can't be had, oh well. It would be a shame for a nice tank to become a spare parts pile if just the plastic cracked though. :^\

The company I get the kayfuns from says he can get the rings or any other replacement parts. He is putting together a price list for me. I just saw these on another site and thought the threads looked a little coarse. But it is really hard to tell looking at a picture. I should know prices from my supplier soon.

So I couldn't wait hehehe
Can't sleep atm so breaking in the new et with vanilla custard, write a review in morning when on pc and the coil has been broke in. Very nice. Not overly sweet...more like a real creamy vanilla bean flavor :)

OMG......you do not have to promise that......that is so nice of you :) I do not want you to feel obligated to do that. Awwwwww, anytime someone offers such a nice gesture it makes me tear up. Thank you! if you win this and want it please keep it, I will not be upset if you change your mind.
No worries ducky, I don't feel obligated at all. There are a ton of people entering, so the odds of winning are getting slim, but you are the perfect candidate to win the MVP. Your clearly a kind hearted, animal loving person that has that device on her wishlist. So it would make happy to give to ya if I win it. I'd still get the juice though. :D.
Good luck to us!

I think my Kayfun has fine threads, (EHPro KFL +), and the number of threads on my short plastic tank is the same as on the one in the photo.

I hope that vague answer I just gave helps to narrow down the mystery.

Awww thats too sweet [emoji4] I do love animals a bunch! So much that I have been saving turtles every time I see them in the road....lol.....now I have 12 (except one i named old man turtle, he stayed for the longest time until the pond flooded and he went to the woods) turtles I set free in my back yard. They always head for the woods, but many have come back to visit the house though! Lol It is a funny story thought I would share :) I actually had one visit this morning.
I would be so excited if I won an MVP. I have wanted one for a while. I know there are a couple different ones, like the mvp shine and the MVP 2, but I just want one! Lol I have heard so many loves about them that they just have to be good! if you win and give it to me I will air hug you through thr internet! Lol

I have to admit I got one last month as my 1 year smoke free gift to myself :D
and I'm amazed by it...it does everything that my TECs did at a smaller size and at least half if not more less the weight
while it's a built in battery instead of replaceable, it really does last about 2 days before needing charged plus it is a passthrough battery so if wanted to can vape while it's being charged.
The only thing is that the volts only go from 3.3 to 5, watts go from 6 to 11 and you have to go round robin to get to your setting....whereas the TECs went from 3.0 to 6.0 volts and 3.0w to 15w and can change up or down to get to your setting....
