World vaping day is coming up, wouldn't it be a nice thing to deliver these messages of thanks to the widow of Mr. Gilbert, or his relatives, and to Mr. Hon Lik himself on that day? This was my hope, this was my dream. It is not a concern for myself, but a concern for these men whom I believe deserve our admiration and respect as father's or heroes of the vaping movement.
I think it's a great idea, and if I were you here is what I would do...

Start a new thread with "Send your thanks to the inventors of electronic cigarettes" as the title.
And make it clear that you intend to, and know how to, get the word to them so that they are aware.

If you did that, you might get a landslide of responses.
But it might be too late now.

I agree. And not everyone is looking for the hottest most powerful way to shoot nicotine into their lungs. I've seen some people get turned off to vaping because they started on too high a nicotine level or too hot a device and they couldn't get past the coughing or couldn't keep everything from singeing. You can usually tell what someone is looking for and you can always ask. To make the initial transition to vaping some people really do want a slim model. I am actually still happy on good slim manual models (510 and KR8) with nice 2.5 ohm single coil cartos, and I have some low cost bigger batteries and mods for when I want a bit more. And some people really do want the most expensive mod or the biggest hit or the highest nicotine (or at least think they do). Just gotta listen to what they think will help them get off cigarettes.

Hi! Yes the thread was pointed out to me but the thread was closed so I couldn't reply!

I am fine. I am just extremely low on cash the last year (and still) and can't afford to hang out here because I am a shopaholic. Before I left the forum I had just bought 3 wood mods (which BTW are adorable - from Ecigworkshop). And I was always scouring the classifieds and checking out every new mod. I needed to stop buying stuff.

So I am basically vaping the same inexpensive models and same 4-6mg nic as when I left, but with better cartos.

Now using Bloog cartos on KR808D-1 (V4L's own single logo manuals and Volt manuals). And finally getting a better vape out of manual 510's w/ Smok Tek single coil 2.5 ohm cartos (still enough ohms that they don't seem to hurt the little 3.2v batteries but much nicer vape than Boge 3 ohm cartos were). Using 3.7v Rivas as my fat batteries plus one multi-voltage Ego-clone I generally leave at 3.7v. And I stopped buying and trying every yummy juice I saw by not looking for them. Status quo.

And still lazy - still have not made my own juice but IF I did I would be making Capella's Vanilla Custard (supposed to be diacetyl free) and the clear/light Chocolate from Perfumer's Apprentice. Cartos seems to taste good longer with clear light color juices.

Welcome back Dormouse, recently back myself so it's nice to see familiar names! I only recently left my beloved 808's, but only moved to an ego-t. Love the longer life it has but found that my little CE2 clearo's(510 i believe) are great on them since I had been buying the one's that fit on the inside of the ego and using an adapter to my 808. I wouldn't know any of those terms without the tech side of the forum, I'd still be dealing with the twerps at the mall that only know what's in front of them. So the PEOPLE on here have educated me.

I also will never show my DH a picture of that TACO! It'll be all we have for breakfast for a month!

So... is that monstrous waffle burger thing really considered a taco by Mexicans? Or was that a double derailment attempt... a successful one I might add.

The tacos they eat in Mexico have little resemblance to what most of the rest of the world considers "tacos."

I'm getting very annoyed by these threads that make me hungry and homesick for L.A. (where you can get any type of food on the planet).

A taco (/ˈtɑːkoʊ/) Nahuatl: tlacopan[1] [t͡ɬa.'ko.pan] is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. A taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables and cheese, allowing for great versatility and variety. A taco is generally eaten without utensils and is often accompanied by garnishes such as salsa, avocado or guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, minced meat, onions and lettuce.

A taco doesn't have a crunchy shell. I wonder where that came from?

I mentioned Tex-Mex as opposed to real Mexican in the last taco rant but pictures are much better. mmmmm
