I think that was a waffle and sausage with egg taco.
I'm having tacos tomorrow also. You all made me hungry for them![]()
Give me a side of maple syrup and I'm going to join your DH in his quest.I also will never show my DH a picture of that TACO! It'll be all we have for breakfast for a month!
You ain't kidding. The tacos they eat in Mexico have little resemblance to what most of the rest of the world considers "tacos."
This defies all logic.I've lived in New Mexico for 15+ years and the only authentic tacos I've had were last summer in-- Oklahoma! Crazy roach coach painted pink. They served a pretty cool slushy drink too.

And the patty is obviously sausage, for those that think it is some kind of beef patty.

You ain't kidding.
From what I've been seeing on these "taco" threads, some people don't even know what a real taco is.
Go down to Tijuana and get a taco from a real taco stand, and then go back home and eat some Taco Bell.
I think you'll see the difference.

Always wondered how people in those days figured out that a certain kind of shark was poisonous, then less poisonous when boiled, and somewhat not poisonous when boiled a second time.
I don't think they have those in Norway or Iceland. The patties tend to fall apart when buried.
While I hate Los Angeles, being that I was born and raised in San Diego...Or East L.A. I'm a born and raised Angeleno![]()
While I hate Los Angeles, being that I was born and raised in San Diego...
I still must respect your taco knowledge.

We actually have authentic tacos here in Reno. One that is quite well known, the family as been here forever, but there are other little tiny places with great food where no one speaks English. Was also have Basque restaurants. There are lots of Basque people descended from shepherds who worked on ranches. Trivia time: UNR is the only university in the US that has a Basque Studies major.
I'm a French Canadian / Russian Jew but my wife does all the cooking. The great melting pot of the US landed many ethinicities in very unexpected places.
For example by blood I am irish/native american but I was adopted by a 100% Ukrainian family (immigrants and naturalized citizens) and I am in the middle of Louisiana.
Yep I do a mean gumbo AND some pretty good perogies!
Soda Bread ..... I'd die for some. I'm 100% Irish.
