We really need to get on the same page folks, divided we fall.

I believe the BEST way to get people behind our efforts is to put out as many quit smoking stories as we can. The FDA and now states are trying to ban a way that allowed many of us to quit smoking. No matter if it's designed or designated as cessation device or not. IT HAS HELPED THOUSANDS STOP! That really means something!

Most people have an emotional connection to a smoker in their lives and want to see them quit. By getting the word out to your local papers and the PEOPLE that love smokers and telling then how well they help people quit smoking I believe is our best chance.

It's too damn confusing otherwise.

I've seen support in the US to call them tobacco and in the UK to not. Bottom line they are life savers. This is what is important, this is what the public can understand.

I've read a lot about this issue and it seems to me our best shot right now is to get and keep them classified as tobacco Products because the FDA does not and will not ban tobacco.

If we push the "I quit smoking" with these angle then they will be classified as drugs and will need FDA approval (which can take eons) and if the FDA does not approve them (which they won't) all of the bans WILL apply.

I know it's all semantics - but unfortunately (as been proven over and over) semantics in politics matter.

I make it a point to use terminolgy that implies the quitting without using the words "quit" or "smoking cessation." I state that I have switched to inhaling vaporized nicotine and talk about the improvements in my health. I stay that I no longer inhale deadly tobacco smoke. I refer to this as a "reduced-harm alternative."
