1: How many times can you refill a cart and expect to get good/decent performance?

2: Any of you using the battery adaptor for the 510 to KR808D cart?

Fact is, I love my Titan 510, but the idea of taking it to the pub over Christmas and dicking around with topping off my carts when I've had a few beers is scary...it'll end up all over my fingers, then in my eyes or something.

Cheers!

Also should add that the V4L subforum has a long list of people that regularlly get 20 or so. There is a learning curve Taryn new battery spin method has been great!! Carts taste like they are new again!!!

I should take a pic of my cart collection. I've had to throw away maybe 5 total of the genuine kr808d-1 cartomizers ive owned, most from Vapor4life.com

as a conesquence, i have a *lot* of clean empty cartomizers..perhaps Lot is an understatement...clean and dry the bag would weigh maybe 5 pounds or so

Eventually the atty will get carboned up (like a 510/901 does) and at that point, youre screwed, you just gotta toss it.

Some flavors and some brands tend to junk up the atty faster than others (just like a 3 piece...in particular the relates to refilling with non dekang juices) and once its carboned up, there's just no way to get to it to clean off the carbon but hell theyre a few bucks a piece, and were only supposed to work one use.

I have some cartomizers myself that i know with certainty were vaped down to the 15-18 drops area in excess of 20 times..so yeah, they'll last if you're willing to do the work and make sure they *never* run dry.

You can reuse your cartridges, just replace the filling. You can buy a large bag of polyester stuffing at any craft store and any department store that has a craft section (something like a Wal Mart). You may also want to check out the ADP mod if you don't like to constantly refill. I've been using this mod for several days now and it is the absolute best. I would give you a link but do not have enough posts yet. Just scroll to the bottom and type ADP mod in the search. It should bring it up from there.

Your cartridges will probably outlast your battery. I have one that got too hot and melted a little on the tip. It's still usable.

What Tout said. This is absolutely amazing and has revolutionized how I refill KR808 carts. I'm using em for days on end like new, just switching out menthol for non-menthol (flavor variety). In my experience the KR808 works best with a primer puff or two but with this refill method you are good to go because it really gets the juice where it needs to be SO much better than plain old dripping.

I recently took a six hour drive with a fresh cart and battery and never stopped vaping. That was enough to make me put down my 510 and never look back. I still have it around for old time's sake but rarely touch it any more.

As far the 510 ---> KR808D-1 cartomizer adapter... I have one. Made my own, but there is no real difference between mine and the one you can get from Altsmoke.

510 battereis will last longer on cartomizers than they will on genuine 510 attys. The cartomizer resistance is about 3 Ohms and change... while the 510 atty is 2 Ohms and change. That has a lot to do with battery life.

If you put a cartomizer on a 510 Mega battery you can vape for a good long time. Then again, if you put a 910 atty.. or a SLB 510 atty clone (both of which are in the 3 Ohm range). you can vape for a good long time with those too.

When I'm clubbing or "out and about" with the 510 I usually don't refill the cartridges. I bring a few pre-filled units and just swap them out.. just like you would a cartomizer.

Damn! Knew I'd forget a few things...

1: Cut off on manual batteries? If yes, how long?

2: Battery life? How long (compared to my Titan 510 cells)

3: Do the manual KR cells fit in the KR/Creator PCC's? (they look a lot longer than the standard autos)

To be honest, I am leaning toawrds an adaptor and 510 cell (possibly a mega cell) due to Scotts informative post, it seems like a great every day carry solution, but I'd still like to be as informed as I can about this before I plough any funds into a new PV.

Cheers!

Thank you for your post. I am a newbie. Could you explain this method?

Scroll back up to post #12 to find the link. But basically, you fill the cartomizer with 10-15 drops, cap them, put them in a bag or something, and whirl them around your head. Open them up, put in another 10-15 drops and repeat. The centrifugal force helps the liquid absorb, so you're able to get a lot more liquid into them. I've tried this method, and it definitely works. :)
