A Dark day in ECF

Wow, My great polorbear friend gone? Is this a dream? Switched is the heart and soul of knowledge here on ECF. When I can't answer someones problems in the past I sent them to switched with is endless knowledge of ecigs and circuitry. I hope and pray that this can be resolved and our beloved Switched will be allowed to return.

Come on Switched Buddy, I know your Mad at them but you have a fan base, customers and friends that would love to see you back here. Please reconsider your decision to leave us and come back.

Switch is a good man who has my deepest respects... He served the ECF community with heart. He was always willing to respond to any concerns or question about anything related to ecigs. If this is a permanent ban then ECF is making a terrible mistake and losing a highly respected and valued member of ecf..... I hope ecf rethinks this and allows Switch to return.

From reading all the posts..there appears NO ban by ECF. It does appear a CHOICE was made by Switch, which I will respect, because it is Switch we are all talking about.
So I must and will respect his decision. I hope everyone else will too.

Here is something posted in the thread running on the Canadian forum. Sharing my thoughts here too, as IKV is/was an important place for Switched and I know he will be reading here if anwhere:

I have to agree with all the commentary thus far. I spent most of my early vaping weeks poring over information posted by the bear. Then I gained some knowledge myself, and chose to express my opinion on a few things here and there. I was supported in this by Switched on some things, and was swatted down on others. Did I like it? no, of-course not. He got me frustrated more than once with his closed stance on devices or accessories that he did not like. There were times I wanted to go Grizzly on his Polar bear backside.

I've always maintained that his heart was in the right place, even if his delivery skills could use some finesse. Does that mean I want him to be a pansy and avoid calling an ... an ...? No, I appreciated his straight shooting style as much as the other guy. But, you also cannot cross the line and be offensive in an open forum such as this. There are many other forums where the shackles are taken off and people cuss and swear at each other all they want without reprisal.

Switched has been handed a permaban, that will require Admin intervention and god knows what else to bring him back. Whether he chooses to come back, and play by the rules of this forum are entirely up to him after that.

I for one, would love to engage in healthy exchanges of information or debate with him on disagreements again.

When I first started vaping, Switched always seemed to find my posts and helped me a great deal. Straight forward in his replies with his wisdom. I always admired that. I loved his ideas with modding and such. He has the patience to talk anyone through building something that he already had done.

For whatever reason brought him to ask that his account be closed, I wish him luck. We will all miss you.

Hey guys, I'm not too sure what to do or how to do it really. I want to start a petition of sorts, but that may make all of us who participate in the petition susceptible to be banned also.

As you guys know Switcher always calls it as it is to the best of his ability. As much as he studies e-cigarettes, liquid, batteries, and whatever else to help us. He also studies politics intimately. Switch was and is always my man because he says what I need to hear, not what I truly want to hear as does my closest and dearest friends as negativity is encouraged so we can progress. This is him and what makes him so special. I see here on post 16 after the the new Fda regulation rule was set in place. He was telling his companions exactly what is truly happening by rewinding to the Pact act that still exists regardless of what the FDA is limited to, then the argument began. In a sense he was called a name that just ignited him. A name that would hurt a person who does study politics. A conspiracy theorist. Since he did in a sense ask for the banishment, there is a chance that he may be able to return.

I do believe in freedom to the fullest as there are no deleted posts in the IKV forum so like most threads, I won't close this one. We're free to talk but please heed caution in respect to moderators.
