We have a dog run at our shelter. If someone wanting to adopt has a dog at home we suggest bringing the dog out to meet the new dog at the shelter on neutral territory. Saves a lot of hassle

The more I have to deal with people the more I realize my cats and I should get a sail boat and live at least 5 miles off shore

VERY good advice and I've thought the same myself a few times but I don't have a kitty cat.

I've pretty much quit dealing with people... except at work (and ECF of course). I spend all my free time with my dogs where I know I'm accepted just as I am and I'm loved completely. It's a mutual feeling.
