I am waiting on a 6volt lava tube. I think I prefer atomisers to catamomizers.

1. How many drops should an atomiser cartridge need to refill?

2. How do you know when an atomiser is dying or dead? What are the signs?

3. Why do I sometimes get steam, but almost no hit?

4. Is it possible to put the juice directly onto the atomiser, without using a cartridge? I tried doing this and got a really strong hit, but the juice soon dried up. I read that others do this as well, but do they use special atomisers for this?

5. I use 54mg nicotene at about 3 parts nicotene to 10ml black cherry flavour. It says on the label, that this must be diluted. Is this just a health and safety issue or is there another reason why it should be diluted?

6. Does anyone else vape 54mg? If so what will it be like with a 6volt high resistance atomiser?

1. I don't know. Never used cartridges.

2. You don't get a hit or it is very diminished. You can clean them but with mixed results depending on the atty and cleaning method.

3. Your atty may not be working properly

4. Yes. This is called dripping. a lot people use a drip tip over the top of the atty. It's basically a mouth piece with a large open hole for easily dripping inside. 3 drops is about equal to 12 hits when dripping at 3.7 volt.

5. 54mg is too strong. If you're going to DIY your own juice you need to do proper measurements. It should be cut with PG and or VG as well as flavoring. 5-20% flavoring is a good place to start.

6. Once again, too strong, unsafe. I wouldn't vape more than 36mg and even that is too strong for me. But I'm down to 12mg.

I have only used a cartridge once, it held around 1ml (20ish drops).

Dripping, good stuff. I just started this for taste testing, took apart an atomizer to expose the coil, get 2 good hits before it gets acrid. They're tremendously fantastic hits though, makes this watermelon stuff I didn't like actually taste like watermelon.

Lastly, 54mg is pretty high, 36 is the standard "extra strong" from vendors. The reason they tell you to dilute it is because nicotine poisoning. It's very unpleasant and can cause some serious health issues.

Standard cartridges or XL cartomizers? XL = 25 - 30 drops, regular size, maybe 15 drops. Or get XXXXL Mega cartos, they hold about 3 ml's of juice and can be ordered from Smoketek. If you're not getting steam, your atomizer or carto is dead. 54 mg??????????????? YIKES!!!!!!!!!!! That is VERY high and actually quite dangerous. Even skin contact can be very harmful. Most of us vape at 18-24 mgs, I believe. I wouldn't mess with 54 mg. You can use it to dilute with zero nic liquid but even then, careful! Avoid breathing fumes and make sure you wear gloves when filling cartos..... :_

How many ml of 54 mg nic are you mixing to 10 ml flavor/ Black Cherry?

It depends what your vaping mixture wise. Did you use a calculator to mix or just "guessed"?
If you put too much flavor in your juice it will surely "gunk" up/ kill your atty.

Thanks for advice.

I mix about 1 part flavour to 3 parts 54mg nicotene.

Simply dripping on the atomisers directly helped me not smoke now for 3 hours. Buzzing a bit.

I normally smoke about 60- to 80 roll ups a day. So need the maximum dose I can get. Going well tonight so far.

Aim is to just smoke 2 in the morning and 2 at night, and use e-cigs during the day.

Will get some drip tips, so the juice lasts longer.

How do I tell what drip tip will fit the mini cigarette? Looked on sites that sell them, does not say if its a 510 etc. They are a couple of years old.

LOLLLL yeah dripping will do that as it a super vape directly from the element.
When you get your variable volt you're going to get an even bigger kick if you turn the voltage up. Used to have a VV but wasn't using it so it's gone. When vaping with VV you'll find you can lower the nic level.

Do yourself a favor and try some Boge 3 ohm cartomizers. You can vape them in the 4 volt range. The standard Boge carto holds about 35-40 drops of juice, provides good taste and will last you several days with periodic topping off with a few drops of juice. You could also try a carto tank. These can hold 3.5ml to 6ml and last you all day and possibly far into the second day without a refill. You can see the level in the tank, too.

Fill cartos like this. Getting them saturated on the first fill is critical to long life.
