It is with great sadness, that I wave goodbye to my trusty
shortstop, a nostalgic tear in my eye. (For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it's a
device that sits between your battery and one of it's contacts, that will cut the circuit in the event of a short. It resets after about a minute and is used over and over again) After nearly 6 months of faithful service, and more than one spring saved, invariably due to my own clutziness, my shortstop has failed, never to allow that lovely current to pass
thru to my RM2 again.
Being the backup fanatic that I am, I just "happened" to have another new, unopened one, which is currently monitoring my grand and guarding the goods, so to speak. I have to say, though, that after a full 6 months of heavy use, I feel I more than got my money's worth, if only for the peace of mind. Accordingly, I just placed an order for 2 more
Has anyone else had a shortstop "hard fail"? I let it sit overnight and tested it with the meter. It's still an open circuit
