Please Imeo, before stopping the production of mechanical mods (!) offer us (at least, me) a small batch of locking rings for the jGG/ggts firing button , in the style of the new jGG/ithaka ACR ....
the look of the knurled button is of course a 'signature', vast majority of users would keep at leat one of its jGG/ggts with the original design, but i musn't be alone having this wish (?)

Awesome that Proteus will have vertical wings - now I will be happy.
I saw the solid JGG tube with wings on the back - didnt like that at all - Wings belong on the front - To my opinion

I too vote for front vertical wings, its just way more classy than the horizontal IMHO. Besides if the wings are horizontal they have to be small to be visible which is not nice.
I can't wait to see what this new product will turn out to be.
As for the engravings, I seems I'm a minority but I have a strong preference for small, subtle horizontal wings and engravings. The small wings on the Penelope are beautiful and add class to the device. Large shouty 'billboarding' of logo's and text does exactly the opposite.
Like the Ralph Lauren shirts & sweaters with the pathetic huge Polo logo on it. Imagine a Ferrari of Aston Martin with the brand name and/or logo all over the side of the car... Or a Rolex watch with the name in huge letters over the entire bracelet. Corny and cheap imo.

Same reaction at first glance, but to.positive this aspect, i expect this last (last of the last ?) mechanical GG, with its pure, roomy virgin surfaces, to be engraved / enhanced by a skilled pro
you, in the US, have too a long tradition of hand decorative engraving, precisely on steel , large or tubular surfaces wich is a full major domain of its own, coming from high-end weapons (a passionated and gifted american engraver has developped a precision pneumatic hand-tool wich began its career this side of the sea). In France, Italy, Belgium, England and Germany, 'one or two' engravers still know their business , with a loooooong waiting list and sky-rocketted prices when you go further than a classical small monogram
The problem is the engravers working for jewelry does not like hard steel and the ones specialized in the high-end german, italian, english or one-off french riflemakers does not seek for new customer with 2-years full waiting list. It leaves time to save money for the project

Therefore, I support the views and opinions my friends and I vote in favor of their ideas and projects.
At the end, I think we should support these proposals.

Corona, I would never allow anyone to change an original GG with any kind of engravings, nor would I allow anyone to buff out and polish the Prototype Imeo sent me to make it shiny. thats me though. As made by Imeo - thats how it must stay IMO.
On 10/28/13 dspin did an excellent review of the prototype with great pictures. It's titled The Just GG/JGG. Well worth the look if you haven't seen that piece of art. Actually if you back to October 28 I believe that's when the last post was made on the thread.

I was not like this in past electra. In fact, I was the only person that announced very quickly my new projects and I was making very detailed reviews about them before they hit the market
Imeo I know why you delay reviews and hold some information until release. I just thought you got quiet because you were working hard to bring us something new. Be well and know we wait.
