Rip on the other hand is way too much of a hot dog. He builds good coils, but I think his opinion is biased by weather he gets stuff free from the manufacturer or not. I also noticed that I don't see any responses from him on his reviews, and I think I read on his page that if someone has a question to contact his assistant.
his assistant?
Seriously?
That's kind of the impression I got from his reviews as well but I'll have no way of really knowing one way or another. There are many youtubers that I watched their product review and instantly think that they were swayed to give the product a better review because they were given the item, as well as they might be hoping to get other product manufacturers to give them items too. But RiP, I don't know, I'm having a harder time reading that from him but there have been times that I've questioned that in my mind.
Assistant huh? Reminds me of a game reviewer that has millions of subscribers and has "handlers" and assistants to deal with the masses. I suppose if they're doing it for business then they'd need an assistant or handlers etc if they're making public appearances etc like some game tubers do. And of course youtube videos that are monetized can be big business when you have millions of subscribers so...
Phil on the other hand... It seems he lets the manufacturers know what he doesn't like about their product, I only have to wonder if he isn't sometimes pulling punches to well... Who knows. Only the reviewer I suppose.
When I want a e-cig product review that has some factual information to back it up (i.e. graphs, charts etc) then I do check to see if Phil has put one out long before I'm willing to watch any of the "Yo, Yo Mutha *(****&(*" type of characters on youtube. I'm far more interested in real world statistics, facts and figures than I am about Joe Blowby telling me that he likes a product and look at how much vapor I can produce from it.
